I received my giclees and chibi today and they are spectacular. Thank you Jed and Dave and everyone else involved in the process.

Just got my giclee today and it is absolutely stunning. I think my favorite part of the experience was just feeling the paper- very satisfying. Thank you guys for all of your hard work and if you ever have a similar project I will definitely support you guys!

Hi! Any news about Dave's recommendation on framing the woodblock pieces?

    6. Lydia Eickstaedt on December 15, 2012

Just received my package today. Beautiful! Thank you so much!

    7. Jed Henry 3-time creator on December 14, 2012

@Steve Rynders - your package has been delivered, according to the USPS. Please let me know if you had a problem, and I'll fix it! :)

    8. Steve Rynders on December 13, 2012

I'm guessing I'm in the last 10% :) Hoping my prints show up before the holidays!

    9. Jed Henry 3-time creator on December 11, 2012

@D Huynh - that is the signature of the carver and printer. Dave was the carver, of course, and the printer on a good % of them. Dave's colleagues, Numabe-san and Tetsui-san, also printed a good number. If you find a Japanese person, they can read it for you!

@Drew Betke - I'm glad they came safely! Stay warm! :)

    10. Drew Betke on December 11, 2012

Got the prints in freezing cold Saskatchewan. They travelled very well. Thanks for the great packing. Love them, love them, love them!

Can't wait for my fox moon woodblock print. =)

    11. D Huynh on December 10, 2012

Hello! Just posting that Rickshaw#76 has arrived safely.. I love the details! The gradient fire red is just beautiful... I can't wait for fox moon!

Curious though, What is pressed on the lower left corner with no ink?

    12. Jed Henry 3-time creator on December 10, 2012

@Mike Frank - Hi, Mike! Your order is waiting for the last shipment of Chibi prints to arrive from Japan. They're in the mail now, and should arrive any day. As soon as that happens, you order will go out. Thank you for checking!

I still have not received my Giclee order. Should I be worried?

    14. Jed Henry 3-time creator on December 7, 2012

@Joshua - That looks amazing! I love the bamboo pattern on the frame. It's a super fun touch!

    15. Joshua R on December 7, 2012

Just picked up my framed Rickshaw Cart - the frame shop did a beautiful job with the floating mount, and the almost completely non-reflective Museum Glass is really worth the extra expense... It really retains the beauty of the print as a 3-dimensional object. Here's a picture, if you're interested... Thanks again, Jed & Dave!

@Elena M. Martinez - thank you for the feedback. I'm happy they've arrived on time.

We finally got our new shipment of paper, and we're starting to print and ship the last 10% of orders. Thanks for your patience, guys.

    17. Elena M. Martinez on December 4, 2012

Got my prints a couple days before Thanksgiving (I think--I've lost track of time since then) and they are AMAZING! They came just in time for Christmas, so now I'm looking into frames for my friends and my brother...I'm so glad I got as many as I did. And those shipping tubes are heavy duty, whoa! Not even a wrinkle. =D

@Randy Jimenez, @renambot,@Patounet - thank you guys for the kind feedback! Rarely do people take the effort to write nice comments on comment pages. :)

    28. Jed Henry 3-time creator on November 27, 2012

@Michael Marcet - No worries! We're shipping the woodblock prints separately, to ensure they're as safe as possible. Which woodblock design did you order? I'm not finding you name on the Rickshaw Cart list.

@ James Bowling Your prints shipped on November 12. Because you live outside the US, the shipping takes a little longer. They should arrive any day.

    29. Rochelle Mantanona on November 27, 2012

FYI for those who have gilcee prints and want to frame them in float frames, Joann's has 16" x 20" black boarder float frames on sale for $10/each.

Looks to be a great deal. http://www.joann.com/16-x20-black-wood-float-frame/prd791428/

      Jed,
I received my Fox moon giclée yesterday. Wonderful piece !
I hope to get my frameshop to give it the framing it deserves. I love what you're doing on the Chibi series as well. You have my support for this first year !

Now I just stand waiting for my woodblock print... It's like Christmas everyday !

Thank you again, see you soon for a second order !

Any word on when mine will ship?

    34. Randy Jimenez on November 26, 2012

      Jed and Dave,

My prints just arrived... I don't think I was prepared for how absolutely stunning they would look. They are amazing. I've backed many kickstarter projects and so far this has been the best reward by orders of magnitude. I will forever back any project in which either of you is involved.

      Randy

They are awesome, I am very pleased with mine, thank you for the great work!

    36. Jed Henry 3-time creator on November 26, 2012

@Elise - Thank you for posting the photo! Your frame shop did really nice work.

@Nathan Black - Yeah, I've noticed that too - Fox moon is general enough to win the affections of even non gamers. Thanks for sharing!

@Meredith A Conti - No worries! This article online has very good instructions on float mounting:
      http://www.diplomaframe.com/blog/tabid/178/entryid/257/tips-for-float-mounting-artwork.aspx

@Rochelle -Surprised you, didn't we? These prints are seriously unique for their use of handmade washi paper. I'm so glad you like them! :)

    37. Rochelle Mantanona on November 25, 2012

My prints arrived and I am so excited. I didn't know they were going to be on washi paper. Just need to get them framed and I can hang them up to enjoy.

Seriously great artwork. This is one of my favorite Kickstarter projects that I've backed to date.

    38. Meredith A. Conti on November 25, 2012

My prints arrived, hooray! And they are gorgeous and the birthday boy seems to like them, too. :D

Now, question about framing...I like the idea of doing a floating frame by mounting them to a board, but how exactly do you mount them to the board? I don't want to use glue or anything that would hurt them and/or make it so they couldn't be removed later... Help!

    39. Nathan Black on November 24, 2012

Got my Fox Moon print today. Wow is all I can say, my wife who isn't into gaming even loved it. Going out tomorrow to find a frame. I will be ordering more when I can afford it. Thanks!!

I just got my prints back from my local frame shop, and they did a gorgeous job. I uploaded a few shots here http://smg.beta.photobucket.com/user/natasha_fawn/media/100_0939.jpg.html After playing around with different frame sizes at the shop I ended up going with 18x24 inch frames so the prints really stand out. Going the custom-framing route was definitely a splurge, but oh-so worth it.

Thanks again for your beautiful work. These are really for my partner, but even though I'm not a video gamer I've fallen in love with them too.

    41. Jed Henry 3-time creator on November 24, 2012

Sadie! I'm so glad you like the giclee! It was a real pain to find a printer who was willing to print on handmade washi paper. Luckily, I found some GREAT guys, and they're doing a phenomenal job. :)

    42. Sadie on November 23, 2012

Just got my giclees today and I am very impressed, both with the quality of the paper and print as well as the packaging for shipping. I used to print giclees for a local art gallery back in college and those had nothing on these. And were also easily twice the price.

@Mark Sweetman - Yay! I'm glad they arrived safely! December's prints are really cool - they feature the karazuri (empty print, or blank embossing) effect. It's the first time we've done this in the Ukiyo-e Heroes series. Get excited!

Just got my first set of the Chibi-Heroes subscription through in the mail and they look fantastic!
Can't wait to see the next designs for December :)

    47. Randy Jimenez on November 21, 2012

@Jed - No worry. I just wanted to make sure mine wasn't lost. The hurricane has caused a lot of shipping issues with tracking and lost packages. I was worried that my prints were lost in the shuffle but am glad to hear that isn't the case. Looking forward to the prints when they get here.

    48. Jed Henry 3-time creator on November 21, 2012

@Mitheor - Your package shipped on November 14. It will take a few weeks to arrive in Spain, but should arrive before early December.

    49. Jed Henry 3-time creator on November 21, 2012

@Vinzius Yes, the handmade Japanese paper ranges from about 45-65 lb thickness. It's very fine - the perfect thing to print these on. When you frame them, please mount them on a white background, so they show at their brightest.

    50. Jed Henry 3-time creator on November 21, 2012

@Rrandy Jimenez - I just checked our shipping records, and your package hasn't shipped yet.

Up to now, we've printed 90% of the giclées, and have shipped about 75% of them. The remaining ones will go out by the end of November.

We shipped all the international orders already, to allow for the extra transit time. The last domestic orders are going out this upcoming week. With these steps, everyone should be receiving the last wave of shipments within a smaller time window.

Allowing for shipping time, they'll arrive in early December.

I apologize that we're a little behind in our scheduling. Turns out 3,000 orders is a lot to handle!
