Why support Telesomniac?
All donations will be used to produce the upcoming album, new t-shirts and other merchandise. This will make Telesomniac's current music available, as well as allow the production of new music.
Telesomniac is a rock band formed in Provo, UT. They have achieved acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music in the underground and local scene. Creating their unique sound through use of ethereal electronic tones in combination with heavy drum patterns and powerful guitar solos, Telesomniac has gained a very loyal fan base.
Telesomniac was founded in 2015 by Dave Supplee and Ben Stoneking with Hayden Manwaring, Michael Ahern and Brad Bebee joining shortly after. They gained popularity performing in Provo's underground music scene leading to them to win the popular vote at UVU's 2015 Battle of the Bands. In late November of 2015, Telesomniac released their debut single "Lost Child".
What will the money be used for?
Telesomniac is currently finishing the recording process in Do Tell studios, owned and operated by bassist, Hayden Manwaring. Although this is cutting costs, outsourcing the mastering of each track has been necessary. The total cost of mastering the album is $300.
The first run of CDs would be 200 copies in sleeves totaling $400. This covers the physical copies of the CD. To make the album more accessible it will be uploaded to music sharing sites like Spotify, iTunes, Pandora and Bandcamp. The total cost of this is $100.
To accompany the release of Thirty-One Flashes in the Dark, a whole new merch line would be available. 75 prints each of two t-shirts of the same design, but different color schemes, 100 copies of a limited run poster, and 100 prints each of 3 differently designed pins would consist of the new merch. The total cost is $1,100.
Haley Stoneking has worked with the band for the past year providing her expertise in graphic design and marketing. She has made the designs for the upcoming album and merch.
To promote the album, Telesomniac will be touring the summer of 2016. Although the band is self funding this for the most part, they are still in need of $350 to offset the cost of touring.
What if the project hits a stretch goal?
- Additional dates for the summer tour.
- Music video.
- In ear monitors, making it easier and safer to perform/practice.
- More shirts.
We have put an incredible amount of time and effort into this band, and to receive funding for this album would mean the world to us. Thank you so much.
A quick shout out to Haley Stoneking, Brian Gagne, and our friends and family that helped us get this project off the ground.
