The Riverbreaks record their second album in Chapel Hill, NC.
Hi, we're the Riverbreaks, a Washington D.C. based indie rock band. For the last year we've been writing new material and road testing songs at shows in DC, New York, and around the South. Now we've entered the studio to record our new album, featuring our best songs yet.
Two weeks ago we entered Modern Recording in Chapel Hill, NC with our producer Chris Stamey to record 12 new songs. Chris, apart from being an incredible artist himself, has worked with some of our favorite bands (Whiskeytown, Roman Candle, The Rosebuds, and a bunch more). Songs we recorded include crowd favorites (Corn Blue Night, Tell the Girls, El Dorado) as well as new songs that almost no one has ever heard (Wildfire, City of Music). The arrangements will also feature guest instrumentalists.
The total cost of the project (recording, producing, mixing, mastering, art, and printing) is significantly more than $5,000. The $5,000 will cover the recording and most of the mixing, and we'll fund the remaining portion (studio musicians, mastering, art, and printing) ourselves. If we don't reach $5,000 we receive no money, so your contribution means a lot to us. As the project costs a lot more than $5,000, anything over $5,000 will really help too!

We've put together a great list of rewards to thank you. You can purchase our album in advance (you'll be the first to hear it!) or sign up for bigger rewards like limited edition posters and t-shirts, instrument lessons, dinner and cocktails made by the band, or house concerts. If you've got something else in mind or would like to discuss a reward just email us and we'll figure it out.
