Rewards and Editing Progress

We have begun the process of shipping out rewards. It may take some time to get all of the custom LEGO sets packaged and shipped, but we are well into that process.

We have not received survey responses from several contributors. We cannot ship you your rewards or credit you properly without a response to this survey, which was sent on July 15 to your Kickstarter account.

Editing continues to progress on schedule, and we're in the final stages of planning stop motion animated segments for the film, for which our producers will collaborate on the animation.

Assistant Editor Seán Willis has completed his work on the film this weekend, and did excellent work in cataloging and sorting about 60 hours of interview footage. Editor/Director Philip Heinrich is tasked with editing the remainder of the project.

Thank you for your continued support!

Music and More

Editing continues to progress, and composing for the film's music has begun! Like the teaser trailer, the documentary's music will feature marimba, an instrument that can provide a wide range of sounds. We'll also expand beyond this as the story progresses, giving each of the film's three acts a distinctive character.

Here's a sneak preview of some music from the film, a work-in-progress clip from the film's first act featuring a variety of marimba textures. The music in the excerpt was composed by Philip Heinrich; the final score will also feature music by Joseph Frank.

We are preparing the physical Kickstarter rewards for shipment! We hope to ship all physical rewards in August, so if you have not responded to our survey for shipping information and credits information, sent out last week, please do so as soon as possible! We need an up-to-date shipping address from people receiving physical rewards, and we need a first and last name to credit in the film's recognition of Kickstarter backers.
