The show explores our fascination, through dramatic and comedic interpretations of her illustrious film performances. But there's a twist, all actors are men. Help us fulfill the dream of celebrating our inner Streep!
We are set to premiere on September 19th, 2015

Why We Need Your Help.
The show is already built. It's already cast and the concept has already been developed.
We need $25,000 to kickstart this project. A big part of the fund will go to the premiere theater rental. We already made a deposit for a one month run. The show will play at the popular Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood. It's in a great location and it's one of the theaters that housed a lot of productions that eventually landed on Broadway. That is the ultimate goal of this show to take this to Broadway, then tour, then take it around the world. That is our ultimate goal!! With your help we can do it!!!!!!!

Streep Tease started out in 2009 as a small show that Roy Cruz conceptualized. Just group of talented actors giving their own interpretation of a Meryl Streep monologue. There were little props and costumes were only 80% Black and 20% Meryl. We just expressed our unequivocal fascination to one of the greatest actresses of all time, Meryl Streep! It quickly became a sensation. The Daily Variety picked up the buzz about the show and on the day the article came out. Ticket sales went through the roof!!! What started out as a monthly show became a weekly show and lasted for one year. It came back again in 2011 and lasted another 6 months, and in June 2011 the show played at the prestigious Joe's Pub of the New York Public Theater. In 2012, Streep had another successful, critical and box office run during the Hollywood Fringe Festival and again it played to sold out audiences every single show!
It had been featured in the Daily Variety, The Los Angeles Times, Frontiers, The Advocate, The Daily Beast, Broadway World.com, Playbill.com, and The Guardian UK. There were even audience members from all over the globe who came to Los Angeles to see the show.
After two years, it's time to bring it back. Since 2012, Meryl had been in several movies. There are also other movies that we still need to explore. Every time we meet a person who has seen the show, they all ask, when do we bring it back? Now it's time to bring it back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1INn9cKQ_f8)
We are adding new characters, more drama, more laughter and more surprises.

Risks and challenges
This project ran for three years and never had a major problem. However, if there is any obstacle that we might encounter it would be scheduling conflicts with the cast. Although the cast is already set, some of the actors could get a last minute gig. Fortunately, this is a monologue driven show and it would be easy to replace actors who may have to drop out or miss a performance due other commitments.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
