As you may know, Storyhill has been on hiatus since 2015. During our time away from touring and performing together, we’ve had the opportunity to listen to recordings from some memorable stages we’ve played over the last 15 years. Whether it was one of our Storyhill Fests, the History Theatre in St. Paul, the State Theater in Zumbrota, The Emerson in Bozeman or on a cruise ship, we’ve been blessed to perform for many of you from stages big and small.
After rediscovering these recordings, and since we haven’t released a live album since 2002, we felt the time has come for a new live album. It is with great excitement that we announce the release of Stages.
Stages captures 15 live performances of songs from our studio albums Dovetail, our self-titled disc Storyhill, Shade of the Trees and even a couple unreleased songs. The Storyhill team has culled the archives to find individual performances that captured our ears and our hearts. Though the performances may not be perfect, each song archives a moment in our collective musical careers that has meaning to us. And now, hopefully for you, too.
We've enlisted the help of long-time friend and producer Alex Oana (Clearing, Echoes, Storyhill Live, Reunion) to produce this album for us. Alex has always had the ability to capture the 'Storyhill' sound and once again, has done a fantastic job on this album.
We need your help to make this album come to life. With your pledge, Stages can be heard and shared on future road trips, with family and friends or with new audiences who haven't heard our music.

Risks and challenges
Stages will be released independently. Record sales no longer exist as a viable business model in the music industry. Touring is where professional artist can make most of their money, but we don't want to be on the road as full-time musicians. The challenge we face is getting you, our fans, access to our music without bankrupting us (truth). We need crowd-funding to help make new music creation, production and distribution a reality.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
