Giant Behemoths that continued to evolve over millions of years to develop into a civilization, with technological advancements on par with medieval Europe or Ancient Rome. Shielded from impact events by its neighboring planet, a giant Jupiter-like world 16 times the size of our own gas giant, these Dinosaur Men Are locked in a planet-wide civil war. It is a journey into a world that will boggle the imagination!
Heavenfire is an 8-issue comic book miniseries, stemming from a melding of Science Fiction and Fantasy influences, fused together to create an original world of High Adventure and intrigue, all taking place in a distant solar system in the Milky Way Galaxy. Fantastic Artwork and gripping story arcs await you, the viewer!Heavenfire has already found a publisher. However, it is up to creator Christopher Hanchey to produce, bankroll, and generate the art and words for all of the pages. Christopher is handling the penciling duties as well as plotting the story along with Glenn Arseneau, who is scripting the words. The rest of the team is in place. They are: letterer Kel Nuttall and colorist Ivan Plascencia. All that is needed from you is to help Christopher fund the creative team so that this can be published. You will be rewarded for your contribution to this project! Please help Heavenfire become a reality by pledging today!
The Money raised for Heavenfire is to help pay the production costs of the Writer, Colorist, Letterer and Printing costs for all 8 issues of the series. Printing costs have skyrocketed in the last few years. Publishers are now having to charge for printed comics. Heavenfire will also be collected in a Trade Paper back Hard back, and released Digitally. All pledges will receive free digital copies of the books according to the specific rewards pledge system.
The publisher will be handling the advertising and solicitation through Diamond distribution, but the production costs of the book fall upon myself. Here is a break down of the costs per issue:
Coloring and lettering costs: $770 per issue, for 8 issues= $6,160 (I am handling all the plotting and penciling duties, so no costs for that, that's on me.)
Printing cost for a 1,000 print run for an issue is: about $1,000. So It will cost an additional $3,000 to print the first 3,000 issues. After that the publisher will be picking up printing costs for the additional 5 issues and trades or hard backs.
Total: $9,160 for total production costs. Leaving $840 for any additional unforeseen costs that may pop up.
