Post Japan Reflection
Hello, and happy 2019!
Many of you saw some of our photos on social media of our trip to Tokyo. It was a very productive one and we were able to accomplish more than we originally thought we would. It feels great to be back on track and to have the creative juices flowing.
We would like to thank YSnet for opening their doors to us and allowing us access to their meeting room that we used as a base of operations. Having a dedicated room to store gear and dump footage is very important considering how heavy everything was.
Hauling all of this gear across Tokyo was worth it, though, as it produced some stunning images. Our cinematographer Isaac Elliott Fisher is a genius behind the lens.
Hopefully these production stills will give you a better idea on what the final film will look like, and that we are working hard to make the best it can be. Before we can really dive into the edit we first need to transcribe the Japanese interviews into English subtitles - so that will be the next step. In the mean time we will familiarize ourselves with all of the English interviews we have so far and continue piecing together a narrative.
Thats all for now!
If you liked the production stills or are interested in things like cinematography, set design, or other elements of film production, our man Isaac does it all! Check him out on instagram @isaacdop.ca.
