Monster Slayers of Slawia is a fast-paced, cutthroat, language independent card game for 1 to 5 players (you read that right, Solo Mode unlocked out of the gate!), mixing strong competitive elements with a touch of innovative opportunistic coop for maximum fun! Easy to learn rules let you play the game straight out of the box, while the abundance of abilities and interactions make it hard to master even after dozens of play sessions! It plays a bit like Smash Up! mixed A Game of Thrones, is language independent and 100% complete, ready to go to the printers!

With over 200 cards in the base box – thanks to the overwhelming reception Monster Slayers got in our home country of Poland – and 100+ unique illustrations, Monster Slayers offers unprecedented amount of gameplay and artistic content for just $29! WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
If you only want some of the expansions - or would like a second copy of one - just pick them as add-ons! It's easy: just add the indicated amount to your basic pledge and your set. No need to do anything else - after the campaign, when you're invited to our Pledge Manager, you'll have the chance to pick and choose.
Wild Country Major Expansion $18
Venture into the Outer Territories of the fractured kingdom. It’s wild out here! Packed to the brim with new mechanics and art! Includes new Slayer Houses with new abilities, as well as 2 brand new factions (Forsaken and Olden Slayers) with different goals and scoring mechanics. New special monsters, new Lairs, Slavic Gods and Boss monsters, as well as new Locations make this an essential expansion.
Hard Times Expansion $10
For that extra hard challenge, the Hard Times Expansion brings more powerful regular monsters, including the apex predators, like the Drabfiend, Latavietz or the Swamp Dragon! Also included, is a brand new game mode, the Survival Mode which pits the players against the worst the Darkness has to offer and reinforces the cooperative elements of the game!
Treacherous Road Expansion $10
Not everyone you meet on the road is a friend – even if they’re not a monster. But some are! This expansion introduces the NPCs proper, some good, some bad and some opportunistic. It also includes innocent Dwellers, who can bring in extra Glory or coin - just watch out and don’t let them die!
Princess Slawia Miniature Expansion $10
A beautiful highly detailed resin miniature of Princess Slawia, the leader of the Order and exiled rightful ruler of the fractured kingdom. Comes with 3 Princess Slawia NPC cards and a new mechanic that introduces them!
Nymph Slayers Crossover Decks $12
Introducing an exclusive pack of alternate art Slayers, based on our Aeon Trespass miniature line. These decks bring the beautiful - and somewhat naughty - Nymphs to the Slawia world. These cards do not introduce new rules or mechanics, but are a remix of the base Slayers (mixing abilities from the Base and Exclusive cards thought!).

How does Monster Players play? Fast and easy! If you don’t want to read the overview, scroll down for a Gameplay Introduction video and a Let’s Play from Monkeys With Fire!
A player turn is really simple!
1. Each player chooses a Slayer House or Faction and takes 6 cards of that group.
2. During your turn, you play 2 Slayer cards from your hand and 1 Monster card from the Lair, each to a different Location.
3. When the number of Monsters at a Location reaches the Monster Threshold, it’s time to hunt! Sum up the total Monster Strength and Slayer Strength.
4. If the Monsters are stronger, Slayers go home empty handed!
5. If the Slayers triumph, they divide the spoils: the player with the highest personal strength gets the most points, the second strongest player gets the points for second place and so on.
6. There’s more to it than that – Monster, Slayer and Location abilities, the Passage of Time, Treasures etc – but this is the gist of it!

THE STORY SO FAR...
The Slawia Kingdom stood for a hundred generations – but nothing lasts forever. With the assassination of the Runt King, Stanislaus, old rivalries took hold over and the kingdom fractured into warring states, duchies and principalities. Darkness took notice. Now, almost twenty years later, the monsters are stronger and more numerous than ever, and the cultists of Chernogod bolder. The Slayer Houses are not what they used to be – but they must answer the Call of the Hunt nontheless. Maybe their victories will inspire the people, maybe it is not too late...
THE SLAYER WORLD
We are not only designing games, we are creating worlds. These worlds, the art that depicts them and the rules that describe them are important to us. We put a lot of work into creating living, breathing settings with realistic rules. That’s why, even though the game is language independent, we decided to include the Monster, Slayer and Location names - because each one of them has a story and a place in the interconnected world.
This is why the game comes with a short story, to get you properly immersed in the Slavic Slayer World. There’s also a 250+ entry digital World Encyclopedia that will help you orient yourself in this enormous setting. Hope you enjoy our holistic approach!
Also, if the campaign is successful, we plan on supporting Monster Slayers in the years to come: with new expansions, new stories and an engrossing miniature game!

Shipping will be charged after the Kickstarter campaign concludes, through our Pledge Manager (most likely CrowdOx). You will be sent an invite to the PM, where you will fill in your shipping address and choose the models you like. Our pledge manager will use your shipping address and order size/weight to calculate your shipping cost and charge you for it.
Based on our previous experience, the estimate shipping is as follows:
The cost of shipping a Base Game pledge shouldn't exceed $12, regardless of your location.
The cost of shipping a Master Set pledge shouldn't exceed $16, regardless of your location.
We expect to fulfill all rewards from within the EU. As a result, EU backers do not have to worry about customs or VAT costs. Please note that we cannot be responsible for any customs fees for those pledging from outside the EU.

We are a team of entertainment industry professionals and, more importantly, a group of close friends. We created our company, Into the Unknown, to tackle ambitious, unique projects. To explore strange beautiful worlds and share those wonders with you. Over the years, we’ve been involved in almost every facet of the fantasy hobby world: we created role-playing games, written speculative fiction novels, designed and translated board games, and developed and produced video games. We have experience working in small and large teams. We have the passion and the will to create great art and games, and we invite you to participate in this odyssey with us. Our last Kickstarter campaign, Aeon Trespass: Nymphs, was a smashing success and we’re dedicated to be even better this time!
Risks and challenges
We are confident that we are very well-prepared. Our first campaign, Aeon Trespass: Nymphs, was a great success. We managed to deliver it in record time, even though we had to produce a considerable amount of stretch goals. We even provided a better shipping solution than the one we initially offered. Bottom line: we are committed to providing you with the best backer experience.
As mentioned in the “About Us” section above, we are industry professionals, with experience in art, storytelling and, most importantly, managing production. Thanks to our dedicated Polish fans - who we’d like to give a big thanks! - the development of the game has already been completed, both on the core game and all the expansions. The rules have been written, translated and edited into a beautiful PDF. We’ve already slotted our production with a proven printing company. All that is left is the actual production – and development of stretch goals, if you grace us with overwhelming support that will bring us over our initial goal.
The only obstacles that might arise are the ones out of our hands: production or shipping delays on account of 3rd parties. As stated above, by designing everything ahead of time, we’ve done everything to ensure your game will arrive on time. If the reception to our campaign is overwhelmingly positive, we may need to design and produce additional content (oh, woes!), but in a case we have the option to offer shipment in waves.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
