Shipping update, Last Call, production update and more Aeon Trespass: Odyssey!
First off, we’d like to thank you again for helping us realize this project. We don’t say it often enough, but without you none of this would be possible. So: thank you!
Now, to business:
As we’ve mentioned before, production is going smoothly and we are ready to ship the miniature sets in the second part of June. We are, however, postponing shipping by about 1-2 weeks. Don’t worry! We’re doing this to ensure a better service for you. We’ve negotiated a quicker delivery and, most importantly, tracking. Yes, your packages will be tracked; this wasn’t part of the package we offered you back in November, but we always tried to improve on our product and services, especially when we asked so much for shipping. So, we will be providing you with your tracking number as soon as we get them.
We may have delayed our shipping a bit (a tiny bit!), but that doesn’t mean production is having delays. On the contrary, we think we’ll finish up a day or two quicker than anticipated. So, with that extra production time, we thought we’d offer you a chance to order our deluxe sets one more time.
This is the last time you will be able to buy the certified Collectors’ First Run. Head over to our CrowdOx page and order today!
The pledge manager will close on Saturday, 17th June 2018, around midnight.
This is what a lot of you have been waiting for! We got more production samples of the Nymphs. There's still some of the flash on them, but of course is a by-product of the process and comes of at the lightest of touches.
The Depths Nymph is one of our fan-favorites. Look at the details, you can see her small, but defined cheekbones!
At least one of you will be excited to see the full set of the Night Nymph. This one will definitely need an instruction manual!
The Mask Nymph, a surprisingly strong showing in your pledges, considering her late arrival. This one was tough to get right, as we wanted to make the cloak as thin as possible, while still getting in all the details on the mask side.
And finally the Engine Nymph. This one was giving us some problems. Her torso and head were really hard to cast and no matter which way we tried to do it, we ended with bubbles – or worse, a goat beard on her chin! Finally we just went back to Zbrush and made her head a separate piece, ensuing the best quality of her facial features.
We’re going to have a final production showcase, probably next week, with the rest of the collection.
Aeon Trespass: Odyssey production
As it’s become a custom during these Nymph updates, we’re going to share some of the work done on Odyssey. This herculean effort is taking more time, money and talent than we’ve ever anticipated, but it’s worth every step. Below you will find some highlights from the mid-game Cretean cycle, The Truth of the Labyrinth.
First, our last starting titan, Philoctera. Philoctera is armed with a ballista gun, she’s also got a chariot quiver and a sacrificial greatknife. The ballista gun may prove crucial in her fight for survival, especially against a fast moving target, like…
Mechanical guardian of the Founding Labyrinth, created by the hand of the ingenious Daedalus himself! It stood motionless at the entrance to the outer maze for decades, so long in fact, that nature started to claim it. A few months ago something changed. Labyrinthauros moved – and it went for the kill.
It comes and goes in a moment’s notice, a 36 ft. (12 meter) iron giant that performs surgical strikes against the Horned Guard, claiming more and more ground for those, whose coming it heralds: the Labyrinthians.
But the Labyrinthauros hides a terrible secret. It’s mechanical heart is not mechanical at all…
