Week of performances!

Wow, we are less than a week away from our performances! We will be performing  excerpts of Into Sunlight at Stony Brook University on Friday, March 16th, the show begins at 7pm.  And on Sunday, March 18th, we will be performing the full length, full production  of Into Sunlight with the talented students from the dance department of Holy Trinity Diocesan High School at 2pm and 7pm.

This past weekend, Robin Becker Dance company members had  two 7 hour rehearsals with the students of Holy Trinity.  This was the first time that the seven company members rehearsed with the double-casted, talented dancers of Holy Trinity on their stage where the piece will be performed this coming weekend. The Trinity dancers have been rehearsing for a month with company members Paul Monaghan and Nicole Sclafani, and now it was exciting to get the full cast together on one stage to fit the piece together.  The Trinity students have been working extremely hard to embody the profoundness of this piece, and it showed this weekend! They have really wowed Robin Becker Dance.  This will be another interdisciplinary event, with a talk back and reception immediately following both performances with David Maraniss, Robin Becker, Catherine Murphy, Paul Scolieri and the dancers.

We look forward to telling you all about it if you are not able to join us!

Thank you again for helping us reach more people this coming weekend with our message of healing the wounds of war.  We carry your hearts with us!
