Let's see what the cards have in store for you!
**PLEASE NOTE: some of the Reward levels indicate "2nd Edition" -- this is a typo and should be "3rd Edition". Kickstarter does not allow me to edit this once a reward is backed, This is the 3rd edition of my popular original deck that has now sold out! The 3rd edition is even better — with a nicer card-stock, premium linen finish for excellent shuffling (comparative to Bicycle playing cards) and sharper, richer colors! Also the edges are now a rich gilded finish. The backs are the same design as the 2nd edition, but now in a beautiful red and gold that celebrates the vintage carnival vibe.
Fate, Destiny, Fortune! Inspired by vintage Tarot, this unique deck includes neat little fortunes based on the meaning of each card, allowing quick 1-card readings. The fortunes read in the direction of the card, so the upright meaning is right side up, while the reversed fortune is upside down.
This is a full 78-card deck, plus 2 extra cards. Includes matching custom all-seeing-eye satin pouch.
Designs are original illustrations and compositions by me and reflect the symbolism behind the Rider-Waite deck, with new and interesting design interpretations.
Card size is 2.75" x 4.75" standard tarot. Cardstock is 350 gsm.

The Story Of Madam Clara
The backstory of the original Madam Clara deck might surprise you. I created the Madam Clara character as part of a year-long project leading up to the Salem Witches Ball on Halloween. I have always been fascinated with the dark and mysterious world of antique carnival and circus imagery. I wanted to create an experiential "costume" that was based on a vintage penny arcade fortune teller (the old lady in the glass box) and I wanted to dispense single fortune cards to bring the experience full circle.
Being it was in Salem, authenticity was very important to me, so I researched the subject of tarot tirelessly, but I also felt somehow guided in the creation of this deck, which became a true labor of love for me. The fortunes needed to be genuine to the cards, but I wanted them to be mysterious and also a little kitschy, if you will.
The designs are true to the archetypal symbolism in the Rider-Waite decks, but uses a combination of collage, vintage engravings and graphic patterns. While the deck is not 3D, I definitely had in mind the left-right brain balance and tension in the design.
This deck has garnered an interesting following, including many beginners who find the upright and reverse meanings helpful, but also seasoned readers who appreciate the the "fortunes" as optional and meaning prompts for a deeper reading.
The Original deck and Second Editions have completely sold through with many rave reviews on Etsy, Amazon and eBay). With nothing left in inventory and constant demand and inquiries, it was time to reissue the deck with design upgrades and improvements and an entirely fresh face to the backs -- vintage carnival red and gold!
What's new in the 3rd Editon?
What's the same?
Like the 2nd Edition, the cardstock is very high quality and has a casino quality linen finish that gives shuffling that magical air-cushion feel. Many of my customers have claimed that it's the best of their entire collection of decks.
Two Extra Cards
I have also included two extra card designs in the 3rd edition: The Hand Of Mysteries and The Eye of Providence. Both can add significant insight into your readings if you choose to include them, Of course, you are free to interpret as you will.
