Here's legendary voice actor Jon St. John ("Duke Nukem" and many other video game characters) enjoys another round of Island Dice with friends!
"Everyone who plays Island Dice says the same thing... 'I want to play that again!'"
-Jason, Lead Developer at Casual Dragon Games
WHY WE'RE HERE:
The designers at Casual Dragon Games are excited to announce their new tabletop game of strategy, chance and fun! Island Dice!
NATURE OF THE GAME:
In Island Dice, players carefully select combinations from a variety of custom dice to implement strategies in order to bring peace to the island.
This can be achieved in one of two ways:
First you can occupy all 4 of the native bases simultaneously, you have brought peace to the island, and you win.
OR you can wipe out all of your opponents and when there’s no one else left to fight, you have brought peace to the island, and you win.
A little about the game play: For 2-4 Players, with 1-2 hours for a standard full game. Recommended ages 8 and up. The game includes 21 dice: 3 standard six-sided, 2 eight-sided and 16 (really cool) custom dice, with variable hex gaming terrain and player pieces, money tokens, etc.
Here's a link to the semi-final draft of the rules booklet to be included, which also includes a breakdown of the special dice and their uses...
The replay value is extremely high because each new game is different. Just enough exciting variables to offer solid strategic choices and approaches, but also not too complicated once you're playing. Each game setup can be unique, in part thanks to the random hex board format and varied terrains. A player's strategy may change from game to game or throughout a single game.
Here's a brief four minute video of Casual Dragon's Lead Developer Jason Gough sharing a simple overview of how the game works, using one of the rough concept demo game sets—we're excited to replace those soon with finished, fully-funded & professionally produced copies of Island Dice. Woohoo!
JOIN OUR GROWING FAN BASE:
The designers at Casual Dragon have invested three years into the development of Island Dice since its conception. There have been literally several hundred very successful play tests at events, game shops and homes. Player feedback using just our demo mockup has been overwhelmingly and consistently positive. Heck, even some celebrity endorsements!
A review by Bower's Game Corner (some of the rules were varied in Bower's review, so please see video and rule book download higher up this page to confirm certain dice functions, etc.)
Island Dice is unique, challenging and a whole lot of fun and already has a following of devoted players.
PRODUCTION & KICKSTARTER:
Island Dice is now ready to be professionally manufactured after all steps of the process were thoroughly researched. We are ready to move to production. The main monster characters are set to be printed pieces currently, but we're counting on your support to reach the stretch goal to produce proper three dimensional monster character pieces and more.
As any tabletop game fan knows, quality custom game components cost money to produce properly, plain and simple. Our dice feature professionally designed graphics, which will be laser engraved in production.
Territory hexes will be thick and gloss coated to make them durable.
We have an experienced and award-winning graphic designer/illustrator on our team* ensuring high quality components for a high quality gaming experience.
We at Casual Dragon Games welcome you to review our videos, download and review the rules booklet HERE, and contact us directly if you have any questions not answered here on Kickstarter.
If you like what you see, you know what to do and we've got some really great supporter rewards.
Thank you for supporting Island Dice. We believe you'll be glad you did!

"I'm VERY picky about what tabletop games I spend my time and money on trying out. When my childhood buddy Jason got in touch and approached me with Island Dice, I was instantly hooked after just one 'learning round,' and my very cool wife and our teen sons also loved it and wanted to play again and again. I was eager to come alongside Casual Dragon with my own skill set to see this exceptionally fun and strategic game fully developed and produced. It's really that good and a lot of fun every time!"

Risks and challenges
We've spent three years now carefully researching and establishing solid relationships with professional and reputable creative design and production resources. We're at the ready to move into full production once funding goals are reached.
We believe that the only potential risks are production resource delays beyond our control, and even then those would just mean a minor delay in shipping out the finished products.
