Thank you all for your patience over the last few months as we've been busily progressing full steam ahead with the Bruce Rickard Monograph.
On 23 September 2017, the Rickard family got together to commemorate seven years since Bruce Rickard's passing at Cottage Point House (Rickard House III). This gave me the chance to update the Rickard family on the progress of the book as well as expressing once again the sheer generosity of all of the 140+ backers of the book.
The monograph has now grown to be larger and more exciting than we could have ever imagined, with fifteen fully fledged chapters. The work now covers everything from Rickard's early travels by prominent Australian architectural writer, Philip Drew to an analysis of Rickard's houses in relation to topography by UNSW Academic and former student of Bruce, Dr. John Gamble.
We've also included here a new teaser page featuring 'the best living room in the world' inside Rickard II House (Kokoda Ave), part of Bruce Eeles's reflective essay on working with Bruce Rickard in the 1960s and 1970s.
