We're Back!

After a very busy few months in Swaziland, we are delighted to announce that the shooting of the documentary portion of LIYANA went wonderfully!

Of course it wasn’t easy, but we are thrilled with the character and story that the kids worked together to create.  Several of the kids showed a real talent for storytelling and did very well in front of the camera.

It was great to see the kids being challenged and inspired by their own creative process. And it was fascinating to see them incorporate elements from their own life experience into our fictional character’s story. We are well on our way to making a great movie!

Now with the major structural elements in place we’ll edit a teaser and rough cut, then we’ll be pursuing larger funding sources for the animation portion of the film.

We’ll continue to update with our progress.

Thank you again to everyone who has helped us to get this far!  We are still catching up and settling in, but will be getting your rewards to you soon.  Thank you to everyone who sent us your mailing address, to the few of you who haven't yet, please do!

Check out this fun little video we made for the kids!
