“Gemma believes in Science. She’d love to come up with something one day, like LSD or DDT or PVC. So she spends her time experimenting, and for sure, if she keeps trying, she too will finally end up cracking a new molecule that can blow your mind out, kill or be used for building pipelines. In the meantime, green gas is oozing out of her test tubes. She probably won’t get high on it Saturday night though, the smell is so bad it could wake up the dead.”
A plague of zombies has fallen upon us! Four clubs: Punks, Hippies, Survivalists and Capitalists, struggle to survive while attempting to impose their ways of life for the new world to come…
As leader of your club, fight your opponents, avoid getting chewed up by the hordes of zombies, and collect 7 victory points to win the game.
Zombie A Social Club is a 2-4 player, fast paced strategic card game that plays under 30 minutes.
A small piece of advice: be sly, think hard and show no mercy! Careful though! Zombies are creeping everywhere and we can’t save everyone… We just can’t…
Zombie A Social Club found its inspiration from French writer Karim Berrouka’s book “Le Club des Punks contre l’Apocalypse Zombie” (Editions Actu SF). If you can’t read French, well this book is the perfect excuse to start leaning: it’s well worth it! We promise.
Our cards are 310gsm black core linen.
For free, inside the core game, you will get all those bonuses :
(*) Zombie miniature (for the Zombies' score tracker), which will be randomly picked out from "The Walking Dead" zombie miniatures.
And even more! 6 free exclusive cards from our guest illustrators :
And... Final stretch goal, you will receive a set of 4 coasters to be able to drink while playing Z (A) C ! (final design in progress)
What better than a video to give you the big picture:
Oh, now you want to know more? (Aren’t you greedy?! 😊)
There are two ways to play the game: a “Casual” version for a quick and easy-to-play game, or another version for the more experienced players looking for extra combos and more challenging rules.
Both versions are unpredictable, vicious and immersive! (We cannot be held liable for breaking life-long friendships, love stories, families…)
“He wasn’t all that surprised to see all these people rushing into his bar and he barely noticed that those who had surged up to his counter were being stampeded by those that followed. In this improbable mess, heads seemed to be getting crushed in a tempo that he unconsciously started whistling. He simply was surprised that it was already Friday night happy hour, but when he realized it was 9 am and that it was only Monday, Donny finally understood something weird was going on.”
This Add-on is only available in French. Don’t hold back though, Melvin Zed’s drawings are truly worthwhile and – sorry to insist – it’s another perfect excuse to learn French!
Our friends from Devil Pig Games have been helping us on this project from day one. They gave us invaluable advice and put us back on track when heading the wrong direction… We are so ever grateful... we love our pigs!
They are going through a rough patch right now and we want to help them in return. To do so, we have decided to use 1 euro from each one of your contributions to buy "Kharnage" boxes from their stock. These boxes will then be distributed to libraries and/or boardgame clubs all across France. This way, everyone is happy: we get to thank the Devil Pigs for their help, they get a little help to support their business, and all this while promoting the wonderful virtues of boardgaming!

This project is a perfect blend of The Freaky 42 team, a book on punks & zombies, the all but ordinary illustrator Melvin Zed, and many (many) hours spent in bars...

Risks and challenges
It’s our first project and we want to do things properly.
At the heart of our project, there are two main issues for which we refused to compromise:
- We did not want you to wait 2 years after backing our game, ending up forgetting completely about it.
- We wanted to limit our “carbon footprint” to the max of our capacities in terms of manufacturing and shipping.
These two issues found common ground quite naturally: to limit shipping, we have decided to manufacture in France and not to offer goodies such as magnets (neodymium) or playmats. It also allows us to avoid or at least reduce risks related to the manufacturing and shipping of diverse objects.
We concentrated on our game’s strongest assets: the cards and graphic arts.
Everything has been drawn, designed, assembled, finalized: the game is ready, our manufacturer is waiting for our “go”, and logistics matters have been settled.
So yeah, we can’t guarantee you there will be zero risks in case of a zombie apocalypse, or if it starts raining beer continuously during several weeks… but we are confident!
Thank you all for your support!
