Is it too late for a stretch goal?
Well... If the project goes to $1,250.00, I'll increase the size of it by 4 more pages, and fill them with production art.
You guys let me know if you want more.
Thanks to everyone who's kicked in so far!!! You're great!
This is a taste of some of the cool pre-production art you'll see in my Kickstarter digital special production book!
Hi, everyone. My name is Carey Blindenhofer, (some of you may know me as vonBlinden22), and I'm the creator of Paradoxia.
As a child, Nicholas and his sister Tanya would visit a magical world of high adventure, that, as they aged, they came to believe was nothing but a world of make believe.
Tanya forgot, but Nick never stopped believing, always wishing he could return...
Well, his wish is about to come true!
Paradoxia is the first of many intellectual properties I would like to ring to the public. It consists of a vast and expansive universe, with infinite potential and possibilities. I have so many wonderful stories waiting to be told!
Maybe you can help! If I can get rolling with this book, it'll help me get other aspects of the Paradoxia Universe up and running.
Pictured here is the t-shirt graphic that will be included with several of the pledge packages! It is a young Prince Nicholas, heading off on a great quest!
Paradoxia: "Homebound", is a standalone story, more commonly known as a "one shot".
I intend to produce several more Paradoxia stories in a similar, self-contained format.
Pictured below: A few pages of black and white art from a short story I'm currently working on, that I would like to become a stretch goal insert for this book. If we hit $500 over the initial $1000 goal, I can get these pages colored and added to Homebound.
I have a lot of wonderful ideas for this property, as well as many other intellectual properties to explore, but before I get back to the drawing board, I had to take time out to get this project out there.
It is my sincerest hope that you like what you see here, and are willing to throw down some of your hard earned dollars to support our cause.
With several of the pledges, i'll be throwing in my recently published, 44 page artist sketch boo entitled "Oodles of Doodles". That's 44, full color, interior pages detailing some of my best doodles over the past few years! For those of you who love artist sketch books, this one's for you!
Thank you so much for stopping by to check this out, and if indeed you choose to become a contributor, then please know that you already have my eternal gratitude.
Risks and challenges
As I write this, the main book is more than 90% complete.
It is fully written, drawn, and colored.
The lettering process is nearly complete.
All that remains is editing and minor clean ups.
A reliable printer of excellent quality has already been chosen.
Aside from that, I do have some work to do producing some of the extras, such as the downloadable production packet and what not, but I don't see that as a major obstacle. The same goes for some of the rewards such as the prints and/or tees, but I have already done the research, and the art should not be a problem.
I have tried my best using the United States Postal Service's website and close guesstimates on weight to ship the products anywhere for as close to free as possible, but, especially in the case of overseas shipping, it gets expensive, and I cannot afford to ship there for free, so I'm sorry about that.
I have a lot going on in my life now, including but not limited to the arrival of another child, as well as being the proprietor of a small business, not to mention upcoming comic conventions, so there is the potential that some delivery dates may be slightly off, but I tried to leave myself ample breathing room, and do not see any definitive reason why I should not be able to meet my deadlines for delivery, or come very close.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
