After diligently working away for over a year, writing songs, recording demos, making numerous refinements and honing the material; what, you may ask, is this money specifically needed for?
Well, while talent is a free commodity, making a record is definitely not, especially in today's climate where the costs can be dramatic and extensive.
Firstly, having found the perfect studio, the canvas within which this musical adventure will unfold, it needs to be paid for: studio time, engineers, and various equipment are a costly affair. The final recording then needs to be mixed and furthermore mastered.
As the dollar signs spiral, there are still further measures that need to be accounted for. Pressing the record, packaging the record, marketing and advertising are all needed to bring the music to the masses.
Still there? Good. As you can see the process is one of blood, sweat, tears and equally important: money. You will be helping in creating a piece of art, a musical testament that will stand up and be counted!
