5 DAYS LEFT! Give the gift of the small press!

Hello, all you fabulous people!

We are going into the 5-day homestretch of our Kickstarter project, and it's crunch time!  We are still $426 away from our stretch goal to be able to make these funds go even further into creating new issues of our journals and paying authors for their work.  The trumpets will be blasting for the next few days to get us to our new goal, and we'll have some great opportunities for our backers as we approach the finish line.

5 DAYS, 5 DOLLARS!  Do you know someone who'd love the gift of the small press?  Someone who maybe can't donate, himself, but loves fabulous fiction, poetry, and art?  A history buff who doesn't yet know that such a wonderful thing exists in the world as Footnote: A Literary Journal of History?  Well, share the love!  Up your current pledge by $5, and we'll send the recipient of your choice either Poiesis #6 or Footnote #1 (your choice) formatted as BOTH a regular PDF and as a Kindle-friendly PDF, AND a coupon to try another great book of the recipient's choice from our extensive catalog.  FOR EVERY $5 you up your pledge, you can send the gift of the small press on to someone else.  Each book contains 40-50 authors and around 100 pieces of writing.  Quite a bang for the buck!

UP YOUR PLEDGE by $20 or more:

And not only will you send 4 PDF copies to your friends or family to spread the love of the small press, but there's something in it for you, too!  If you up your pledge now by $20 or more, you will receive one of our limited deluxe edition packages of the Death is My Subject collection by Christopher Cunningham.  There are only 9 deluxe packages left, so this offer goes out to the first 9 people!  Act swiftly, my friends!

Death is My Subject by Christopher Cunningham, Limited Deluxe Edition

The twelfth book in our Pocket Protector series of chapbooks, Death Is My Subject is Christopher Cunningham’s look at beauty in suffering, strength in withering, purity in the wilting of youth and time and passion and life.  It is an uplifting look at death, the all-encompassing darkness, fear, straight-forward marching into the blackness.  But there is more: Cunningham shows you the light in all of it, the sparks of necessity, the blips of sanity even in the bleakest moments.  Instead of focusing on the negatives or finalities of death, this book truly teaches the intricacies and beauty of living.  Full of grit and realism, this book, marching us into a graceful death, also symbolizes the laying to rest of all of Cunningham's work up to this point, the close of a chapter, the death of a decade.  Truly poignant and moving.

The Limited Deluxe Edition comes with the Pocket Protector chapbook; a supplement chapbook with different previously-unpublished poems continuing the theme; one laminated bookmark in a series of six designs, each featuring a poem by the author and each numbered and signed by the author; and a full-color poetry broadside, numbered and signed by the author, all wrapped in a black crepe-paper package with a ribbon and a thin cloth leaf. This is a beautiful, handmade, limited-edition package, and once it's gone, it's gone!

There are only 9 of these packages left, so up your pledge by $20 today to receive one, PLUS give the gift of the small press to 4 of your grateful buddies at the same time.  :)

And most of all, let's get the word out about reaching our stretch goals in the next 5 days!

Thanks for all you do,
Leah Angstman
