Funding Goal Reached! Huge Thanks and New Goals
My kickstarter was just fully funded. In less than 24 hours. One of the originals for sale "The Red Room" got picked up by a backer. This launched the pledge amount to $2180.
This campaign goal was set to provide the minimum amount of money to properly install my exhibition "Peacemaker" at the Carrack this November. I can now begin to varnish and frame these paintings while working on new work which I hope to include in the show. The mission of this kickstarter is now morphing due to the unexpected funding. Two new visions for the campaign are swimming around in my head right now.
Vision 1: Choreographed Painting Dance Video. I post dancing videos on my instagram time to time. These get people excited and laughing at my own embarrassment. But, honestly, I secretly love it. Maybe that's not even a secret? I would like to set a new stretch goal for the kickstarter to $3,200. If this goal is met then i will find a choreographer to create my most ambitious dance video to date. It will be released to all backers and, at a later date, the public.
Vision 2: More original art offered throughout the campaign. Two original pieces have been pledged by backers. I will release more original art each week of the campaign at a discounted 20%. These originals will be part of the Peacemaker exhibition but marked as "sold" and shipped to you after the show ends.
Vision 3: Private Studio Party and Exclusive Preview of Peacemaker. In the third week of this campaign, I would like to host a studio preview of my work on Peacemaker. Rest assured, most of the work is going to be hidden until the show dates. All backers will be invited. Those who do not live in Durham, I'll probably set up a livestream on kickstarterlive. Folks can tour the studio space, look at the work, and get a first chance to snag some limited art goodies. $4,000 Stretch Goal.
More updates to come! Stay with me and I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.
