About this project
The “We’re All Gonna Die" - Dual Dark Comedy Project by Boss Astronaut Productions consists of one short film and a web series, both dealing with impending death, mortality and hilarity.
The short film, "Geezers of the Night," written by Galen Gilbert is about a sweet looking elderly couple that absolutely hate each other. We meet them the night they are attacked by vampires, and get stuck together forever. It is a short short about eternity.
The web series "Natisha’s Fortress of Fun" is like a medicated Mr. Rogers. It's a children's show but the host does not realize that it's not kid appropriate. "Natisha’s Fortress of Fun" will feature hysterical segments like “How Not to Die with Dinosaurs,” “Judging My Peers on Facebook,” “Peeping Tom the Puppet,” and “Sewer Pipe Pirates.”
Both of these projects are written and ready to go. We need to cast actors, hire a crew, rent equipment, build sets, build puppets, create special effects, and buy a miniature monocle for a tiny plastic T-Rex.
The “We’re All Gonna Die" - Dual Dark Comedy Project is important to Boss Astronaut because it will display our unique, dark humor. We will submit the short film and the web series to film festivals to build our careers and production company.
We need you! We love you! Help Boss Astronaut Productions make The “We’re All Gonna Die" - Dual Dark Comedy Project come to life and poke fun at our mortality. You don't need your money anyway, because we're all gonna die!!
Risks and challenges
First of all, it is possible that we could die before completing this project. We are hoping that doesn't happen. That would be terrible. However, we do have a supportive collaborative team that could complete the project in the tragic event of sudden death.
Our biggest challenge is the scale of mediums involved, including puppetry, stop motion, live action, musical numbers, and old people. We have worked on several Hollywood films and for network television shows. We have years of comedy writing and production behind us. We have a team of artists, production people, and performers behind us. And, in the event of an emergency, Natisha is really good at arts n crafts.
Also, a great challenge will be casting vampires in Los Angeles that are truly frightening, and not the current Hollywood hunks. Sorry Angel.
Boss Astronaut has tackled other large projects before. We wrote and produced a musical number for the stage production of Christmas Live at the Nokia Theater that played to a packed house in Downtown LA. We also wrote, filmed, and produced a video for the Orbitz Vacation Party Leader contest that made placed in the top 8 nationwide. http://www.youtube.com/watch…
