This has been our passion project over several years. We've never had the time and means to truly go all-in which has limited our ability to bring our full version to life. Now with your help, we can make it happen: finalize Tradewars® Rising, refine our next generation platform, and allow players to truly modify their online experience with friends!
For those new to the series, Tradewars® Rising ("TWR") is a Massively-Multiplayer Online turn-based computer game in which Starship Captains battle against each other and compete for medals and experience in order to see who is the strongest, mightiest, most cunning, and overall Greatest Captain of the Galaxy. Each game features a randomly-generated galaxy complete with planets, stations, resources, other ships and non-playable characters; players move/battle/interact using a set number of turns which regenerate daily. However the true strategy lies within the players' interactions through forums, chat systems, and private mail - alliances are built and betrayed, corporations created and corrupted, diplomacy used and abused. With mere keystrokes a new player can sway the balance of power, jumping up to become the #1 Captain!

Risks and challenges
Sylien Games has been operating since 2005. We've worked with high profile game companies such as Microsoft and Magmic Games, and recently completed an impressive "100 Games in 100 Days" Windows 8 Game Development Challenge. We've been involved in larger projects, such as WET, Scooby Doo 4: Mystery Machine, and more. We demonstrate a proven ability to produce a wide range of online and mobile games. Since the Tradewars® Rising game exists already on an mostly-completed engine, the only challenge is completing the final polish and launching the game.
We expect this project to be completed in 6 months time. This includes completing and launching Tradewars® Rising, polishing the engine for TyphoonLand, and soliciting feedback for our "create your own game" offering.
