The First Ever True "Virtual Moderator" - The clues that you and the other Researchers receive in the game are generated by the game itself... And we aren't just talking about the classic "he's a bad guy or he's not" clue. The Virtual Moderator knows what role everyone is and generates nuanced clues for you based on the current state of the game, in real time!
No Dying - Other social deduction games don't let you play anymore when the group votes you out, and dying on the first night is the worst. In L90: The Origin, if you make a mistake, you simply switch teams and keep playing!
Real-Time Events - Instead of waiting for night time to fall, you can take the action on your mobile device whenever you want, in real-time. This means there's no "sleeping" like in other social deduction games, and no need for a moderator.
Cooperative Gameplay - As a researcher, share your own data and contribute to the growing collective knowledge. Can you solve the mystery before its too late? As an infected, focus on high priority targets and protect your Masters!
Deception - As the infection spreads and grows, so too does the paranoia and distrust. Researchers might have determined that their best friend was safe before, but did they make a mistake and get infected? Who can you trust?
Never Hopeless - Even if you're the last remaining human Researcher, you can still win the game if you can figure out who the Infected Masters are. Infected Masters who get found out can still "feed" their minions, causing them to get stronger.
"Buy The Box" - With your $10 pledge, you have the ability to host this game with as many people as you can fit in a room! Other people can join in on their devices for free, just the same as if you had brought a traditional board game to a friend's house.
Though the game uses your mobile device, it is still a traditional social deduction game that's played in the real world! Your fellow Researchers are an enormous source of information. Make sure you share any information and work together. Of course, you'll also need to stay vigilant and look for hidden nods, meaningful looks, and subtle whispers...
A Deeper Look At How To Play:
You’re a scientist. You never believed in ghost stories or things that go bump in the night. You graduated top of your class and accepted this mission in the arctic circle because you were the best. So explain yourself. Explain what’s happening. Explain how the door that could stop a truck was found flung from its hinges. Explain the sounds. Explain why you’re hiding under your desk with your dinner knife and saying prayers to any deity whose name you’ve ever heard? You’re a scientist, damnit. Explain yourself.
You are an Antarctic Researcher, part of a team of elite scientists posted at an Antarctic Research Station. An ancient life form, trapped beneath the ice for millennia, has infected one of the others, taking their form and hiding in plain sight. It is the most powerful Infected Master, and it calls itself “The Origin.” To figure out who the Infected Masters are, you and your fellow Researchers will use all your training as scientists — Isolate biological samples, conduct experiments to gain clues, and perform tests on your “teammates”, but be careful! The Infected Masters can spread their Infection through their own biological samples, taking over the Researchers’ bodies, and turning them into their Infected Minions.
The "Researcher," "Corruptor," "The Origin," and "Overlord" backer levels all get your likeness into the game as a playable character! Here's an example of the process for a Researcher:
L90: The Origin will be available on iOS and Android on launch day.
Early Access will be available through the browser on your mobile device or laptop.
L90: The Origin is available to play now at all of our scheduled gaming conventions! If you'll be there too, all you need to play is a mobile device or laptop with Chrome or Safari installed.

Al Zolynsky: The Original creator of Ghost Roadhouse, Al has a desire for new and fresh games, where the “game” doesn’t get in between you, your friends, and a great time. Programmer by day, board-game super hero by night, Al’s dream game is the one that has no rules and all the fun.
Nick Keith: Being a Program Manager pays the bills, but Nick’s true calling is making and breaking games. He strongly believes that games need to be more than just what comes in the box… community, friendship, memories. Oh, and he always keeps his word in Risk.
Ghost Roadhouse: The business unofficially started years ago on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Nick and Al worked as managers in the game room, and on dead nights they would sit around the pool tables playing games with friends. “Spud” – who is still involved with Ghost Roadhouse today – challenged Al to make a game. Many games, years, and degrees later, Al and Nick decided to officially launch Ghost Roadhouse.
We have worked for over two years designing, prototyping, testing, and playing L90: The Origin, and we have funded it completely with our own money, simply because we have faith in the product. Our experiences at a multitude of conventions all tell us a similar story: people love the game. We are confident that we can deliver everything promised at or before the deadlines outlined above, and we will do our best to bring value to the amazing people that have faith in us. We are grateful for everything that our fans have done for us so far, and we will do everything that we can to pay it back to them. We are not asking for anything extra beyond what we have budgeted to make the game -- we're not even budgeting to pay ourselves back for what we've invested so far. We really just want to get the game made and in the hands of the fans that have been so patiently waiting to be able to download and play with their friends. Thank you so much for taking the time to check us out.

Risks and challenges
Under-promise and over-deliver. Based on our combined experience, we believe we have accounted for everything within our power and budgeted "extra time" just to be safe.
The Apple approval process is the only thing outside of our hands with a direct, knowable impact. Though Apple has recently cut their review process down to only a single day, we've budgeted a full month, just in case.
Beyond that, we feel confident that we have successfully mitigated all potential risks that are foreseeable at this time. Every project could potentially encounter unexpected obstacles, however, and we will continue to keep our community informed should anything come up.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
