Fleet: Arctic Bounty expands the award-winning Fleet with 128 new cards including:
·New Premium and Base License and Boat cards with all new bonuses!
·New Dock cards with more ways to build your Fleet!
·All new Bay cards! Crewmen and Gone Fishin'
·Brand new 1p and 2p variant cards and rules!
Fleet: Arctic Bounty is designed to integrate with Fleet and give players the ability to choose what License and Boat cards to include in a given game, creating endless possibilities of card and power combinations and replayability. Want to try a game without Processing Vessel and Shrimp? Then pull them out and add Pacific Oyster and Swordfish! Players can choose ANY combination of old and new licenses from Fleet: Arctic Bounty and Fleet to create exciting new gameplay experiences. The core mechanics, flow, and game length are unchanged. Yet Fleet: Arctic Bounty provides modularity, variety, and new strategic paths to victory. Our desire was to keep Fleet fresh and interesting with new License bonuses, new Dock Cards, and the cool new Crewman and Gone Fishin' cards without losing the core gameplay that made Fleet so awesome (if we may say so ourselves ;). Remember, if stretch goals are achieved, it will allow us to add even more awesome options to the game!
What's in the box?
The new Licenses and Boats allow players to create many combinations of Basic and Premium Licenses, and to try exciting new paths to victory!
Crewmen and Gone Fishin' are two new ways to expand gameplay that can be added to any combination of Licenses and Boats and Dock Cards from Fleet and/or Fleet: Arctic Bounty!
Gone Fishing is a great new way to approach the License Auction for experienced and new players alike. The designers recommend using Gone Fishing when teaching new players Fleet or if there is a skill imbalance. It takes the sting out of not winning a License and provides a fun risk/reward choice as the game moves forward. Gone Fishing is a great way to lighten up Fleet just a little bit! It's not just for new players though, for an experienced group of cutthroat Fleet-ers Gone Fishing provides a new layer of strategy in the Auction.
The designers worked really hard to address the players that loved Fleet but did not enjoy the 2p Auction and it turned out AWESOME! (that's why we HAD to offer the PnP version of it to backers so they could try it out with Fleet RIGHT NOW!)
If you are a retailer and you wish to discuss terms for purchasing and shipping multiple games, please contact us and we will discuss this with you.
This is a big sweet wooden Fleet die! It can be used with the Weather Authority and Casino Licenses are rolled to see who goes first and then used as an alternate start player marker. It is big, wood, and awesome!
That darn near makes Fleet: Arctic Bounty a stand alone game! We are very excited about Salmon, will be a very cool new addition!
All of this will be included in Fleet: Arctic Bounty if these stretch goals are achieved!

Fleet and Fleet: Arctic Bounty (FAB) are small games. They fit into a USPS Small Flat Rate box tightly--and that's a good thing. That costs $6 in the US. We pay this and send those to you (if you are in the US) for "free".
In Canada, we plan to send all the Canadian Backers' orders to one single person or company that would agree to having us send all copies to them and then out to individuals. Assuming this works we still need to pay for shipping all the games to Canada, and customs, and the costs of internal-to-Canada postage and materials, as well as some labor to actually send these out. So please add $16 (for the first game) for shipping if you are a Backer in Canada. And add $8 for each additional game in the same order delivered in Canada.
Canadian backers using the Crewmates tier pay $175 (135+16+8+8+8) so only $29 per copy shipped!
Germany and other EU countries
Unfortunately the small size of Fleet does not help us in the EU -- where the rates for us to send anything from .1kg to 5kgs are all the same. That is great for bigger and heavier games but not for Fleet. So we have arranged to send the Fleet games internal to Germany to an individual in Germany who will send them out, and that allows us to tell German backers that they can add $16 to their pledge for the first game sent to an address in Germany and $8 for each additional game sent to that address.
German backers using the Crewmates tier pay $175 (135+16+8+8+8) so only $29 per copy shipped!
Keep in mind that Fleet and Fleet: Arctic Bounty each count as separate games when interpreting the shipping pledges needed. If we can find someone in France, Italy, Spain, and other countries that multiple backers might live in then we need to know that. Otherwise we will use our warehouse in The Netherlands to send out all EU orders. And these orders will cost $22 added to each pledge for shipping for one game and an additional $8 for each additional game.
EU backers using the Crewmates tier pay $181 (135+22+8+8+8) so only $30 per copy shipped!
The rates to Australia are the same as those to Canada because of a new relationship we have with a distributor in Australia. So add $16 for the first game and another $8 for each additional game.
Australian backers using the Crewmates tier pay $175 (135+22+8+8+8) so only $29 per copy shipped!
Elsewhere in the World
Finally, if you live somewhere other than Canada, Germany, the EU, or Australia, please add $30 for shipping the first game to you and $12 for each additional game to the same address. We realize that shipping is expensive and we do not like paying this much more than any of you do either. We do subsidize shipping expenses, and we certainly do not profit from them at all. Thanks for your understanding.
Other International backers using the Crewmates tier pay $201(135+30+12+12+12) so only $33.50 per copy shipped!
Risks and challenges
Eagle and Gryphon Games has participated in 20+ successful Kickstarter projects completed in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and all of our projects have shipped out either in the same month we originally projected or within 30 days thereafter. We have been more than 30 days earlier than projected, but never more than 30 days later. Even so, there are always unpredictable events which can occur that might delay our projects. We will do our best to avoid them, but there is always the risk that the project might be delayed. Shipping can be a particularly difficult challenge when it involves destinations outside the US (and sometimes even within the US as well). We will obtain tracking information when it is possible, but sometimes it is not. We cannot guarantee that there will not be shipping problems as we cannot guarantee the service and reliability of the various postal services involved around the world. You will have to assume that risk along with us. We have been producing board games for over 10 years and we have a good reputation for the quality of our productions because we visit and choose our Chinese partners/factories carefully. However, mistakes happen occasionally that we cannot control--such as missing or defective components. When they do, our customer service department will work with you to take care of production problems that might arise. Please contact us with regard to any such issues within 90 days of receiving your copy of the game.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
