About this project
The Seance is an interactive live-action comedy.
It's a game you play where you control the direction a story takes - this one in particular is about four people that go to a seance. It's kind of like a "video game" - only it's all played out by actors on set; like a movie where you decide what happens as you watch it.
Throughout The Seance, strange, ridiculous things happen. At devastatingly crucial moments you get to decide which direction the story goes. You do this by stepping into the shoes of one of the main characters: a blundering imbecile, who's "treating" his wife and two close friends to a seance for her birthday. It's there you meet a medium of questionable merit, who you soon realize does not have the same idea of "fun" as you do. As your tour guide to the spirit world starts steering you towards unfavorable directions it's up to you to ensure your wife has the "time of her life"!!!

Risks and challenges
Firstly, we're so grateful to any and all of you who choose to contribute to the making of The Seance. We want to create something that you - and everyone - will enjoy. In order for that to happen it needs to both look and sound good.
Thanks to all the talented people we have working with us we can produce this independently for as little expense as we're able to manage.
What we're asking for may seem like a lot, but this is the bare minimum we can do this project for. There are expenses in any kind of production like this, and the amount of footage that'll make up The Seance is equal to, or more than, the entire season of most web series you see.
The categories listed below are musts, in order to maintain the integrity and quality of the project.
Lighting - Ensuring we can rent a good lighting kit to cast the set in the perfect mystical glow. Good lighting is imperative for a moody, atmospheric project like this.
Cameras - We need to use high-end prosumer cameras to give this is a slick, filmic look. Part of the reason our other project got attention is because of the incredible cameras we shot on....with all their fancy lenses and whatnot.
Costumes & Makeup - These two things cost a lot, so we're gonna do as much of this by ourselves as we can.
Set & Location - In order to lock down a set to shoot at for a consecutive amount of days, we'll need funding to ensure that we can plop ourselves down. We want to dress the set once, and leave it; to ensure continuity so production can move smoothly.
If we don't get funding the world may never see this insanely entertaining and funny project. Our desire is to bring more humor into the world. We hope you'll help us do that, and are incredibly grateful for anything you can donate.
