Help Localize Otome Visual Novel A Day in the Life of Maria!
We want to localize "A Day in the Life of Maria", spinoff of popular otome game "The Bell Chimes for Gold", into English!
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Mon, December 31 2018 5:00 AM UTC +00:00.
"A Day in the Life of Maria" is a spinoff of the otome visual novel "The Bell Chimes For Gold."
The story takes players through one day in the life of Maria Scissorland - a day filled with both adventure and romance.
There's plenty to see and do even in just one day!
We'd love to bring more of the Bell Chimes experience in English to both existing players and new fans!
An alcoholic swordsman. He used to be a great warrior but now he just drinks the day away, putting even his sword in pawn.
A naive elf that is popular with women. He loves helping people and gets cheated into a lot of unintended debts.
Ben Koo A thief who is crazy about gambling. He loves gambling, but hasn’t won a single time. His skills as a thief are top notch, though.
Brian Starly A priest and warrior from a declining line of aristocrats. He struggles to get back the house his father lost. He is very snobbish and extremely selfish.
Walter Pleasant A necromancer obsessed with his studies. He is not interested in the Living and spends most of his time looking for corpses in graveyards. He is a real pervert who needs a lot of attention.
A very ordinary but very attractive girl. Maria is very quiet and introverted but at the same time she is courageous, frugal, and kind. She is generally very prudish, but in romantic situations she lets her sexiness go wild. Maria is not special. She is a very ordinary girl, just like you.

Molly Lee “VerdelishJP” Molly has worked as a professional video game translator for 4 years, specializing in visual novels. Notable titles include OTUSUN LAND's Neighbor, MangaGamer’s Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome, Sekai Project’s The Bell Chimes For Gold, and JAST BLUE's upcoming sweet pool, among others.
While the main game, "The Bell Chimes for Gold", was lucky enough to be localized by Sekai Project, otome games are a very niche genre, so for a spinoff title like this, it's up to us to make an English version happen. With your help, we hope to show that every game is worthy of being translated into English and more!
Risks and challenges
The funding goal for this project only covers a portion of the localization expenses, and the remainder is being paid for out-of-pocket.
In light of this, we're very confident we'll be able to deliver the promised product assuming the goal is met.
While we don't foresee any setbacks in delivering rewards, if we do experience any delays, we will of course keep all backers informed and up-to-date.
