As many of you know I have been working on an album for Dillinger's Hired Guns. I really dig the music we wrote and I think you will too :) I am doing most of the recording at home and am putting in several hours everyday trying to capture what I hear in my head. The album is a labor of love and will feature the talents of Josh Badura on drums (Sister Crayon), Tommy Ivey on bass (too many projects to name), Julian Neilson on keys (Clear Conscience), Dave Thurston on guitar (Race to the Bottom), and myself playing guitars, basses, keys, and more.
As with any project there are costs involved. I have spent about $500 so far in the process and will have to spend about $1,000 more for mixing and mastering to make sure you hear the best quality music possible. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated and please know that your support will allow us to continue making as much music as we possibly can.
Risks and challenges
As with any artistic endeavor problems and hardships have and will arise. Our drummer's extensive touring schedule was an early obstacle. This was overcome by recording the songs with "scratch" tracks then having him come into the studio and record the whole album worth of drums in one 10 hour day. He absolutely killed it and I can't wait for you to hear his drum parts!
The other major obstacle is funding. This is why I am on Kickstater. haha. With your help this will not be an obstacle for long :)Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
