A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Functional Prototype
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Appearance Prototype
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Design Prototype
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Production Prototype
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.

The latest jackless smartphone design has definitely stirred up a lot of hullabaloo. Unless you’re planning to buy one of those easy-to-lose and pricey wireless headphones with limited battery life, you can’t charge your phone while listening to audio from wired headsets.
The Auxillite converter was designed as a solution for dual charging and listening. Instead of purchasing completely new add-ons, The Auxillite external digital-to-analog converter (DAC) attaches to 3.5mm jack and lightning ports, allowing you to play audio and stay charged around the clock.

As soon as Apple launched the iPhone 7, users have kicked up a fuss, and rightly so, by the fact that there is no port for their high-quality headphones. This created a unique gap in the market for new technology. In steps Auxillite. This cost effective, 2 in 1 converter lets every user keep their original headphones. Auxillite provides the ultimate sleek alternative, that’s no muss, no fuss.
Introducing a dual functioning, charge and listening add-on isn’t exactly groundbreaking. However, it’s unique selling points make Auxillite the most portable, efficient and cost-effective converter on the market.
Truth be told, we couldn’t imagine smartphones without a 3.5mm audio jack so that’s why we created Auxillite to ease users into the transition. Auxillite has the potential of becoming a must have add-on for your new smartphone, especially if you want to keep your original high-quality headphones.
While there are plenty of wireless earbuds available, most of them can’t sustain a proper connection, have a rather short battery life and are easier to misplace, making Auxillite the perfect alternative.
Android users and audiophiles out there, we heard your requests! After checking with our manufacturer, we are happy to announce that we now have another version of Auxillite that is specifically designed for Android devices. Built-in with quick charge technology and 24-bit audio, Auxillite in Android version simply makes your audio experience even more pleasurable.
*Due to safety issues/design limitation, Auxillite in Android version doesn't support simultaneous music and charging.
Auxillite aims to restore the standard 3.5mm headphone jack to your smartphone and to resolve the dilemma of charging and listening to music at the same time. When we designed Auxillite, we put a lot of focus into each small, intricate detail, creating technology that’s so compact you wouldn't even know it’s there.
The Auxillite team is made up of individuals with numerous years of manufacturing experience. Our vision is simple - to bring simplicity back to jackless smartphone users, so they don’t have to resort to drills, or worry about carrying packs of adapters everywhere they go. We also believe that our users wouldn’t want to see their perfectly good, high-quality wired headphones head straight for the landfill, so we invented a cost effective way to keep them.
Every crowdfunding campaign requires the help of inspired individuals who come together and show their support by sharing their ideas and making a pledge. These pledges will go towards making Auxillite a reality by keeping production costs low. We have our manufacturers on standby and we hope to start delivering the first batch of Auxillite to our dedicated backers as early as December 2016.
Risks and challenges
While we’re confident in delivering the most portable dual function DAC converter on the market, there is always the chance of that meddling, pesky, cherry-on-the-top-of-your-bad-day delay. Even though we’ve been meticulously working on the idea generation, design and prototype there is always a chance of further extensions in manufacturing and shipping dates. However, we promise to keep backers updated every step of the way by putting our best out-of-the-box thinkers on the case to resolve the issue as fast as possible.
