Regarded as America's best bike polo players on grass, the MalletheadZ are traveling to participate in a hard-court tournament.
MalletheadZ - A Bike Polo Story About Life, Love, and the Road Less Ridden
A group of zealous bike polo players from Durango, Colorado are widely regarded as being the best grass bike polo players in the nation. For the past ten years, the group religiously competes against one another every weekend. Having entered every grass polo tournament throughout the region and always placing, if not winning, the group is looking for a new challenge. In order to see where their true potential lies, the group of Durango polo players, otherwise known as the MalletheadZ, have entered into a competition that is based on the sport they love, yet completely foreign: hardcourt bike polo.
The MalletheadZ will be competing for the very first time in a competitive tournament on hardcourt against players that travel the world playing the sport of bike polo. Had the tournament been played on grass, the MalletheadZ would be considered the favorites. However, the tournament is held in Denver, CO and the MalletheadZ will be unfamiliar with the rules, techniques, and pace of the game. The competition will be fierce and is expected to be one memorable battle.
(Don't let the green pants fool you... these games get competitive!)

WHERE THE FUNDS WILL GO
This documentary will be shot over the course of the 2012 summer, concluding with the tournament in Denver the week after Labor Day weekend. We established a budget of $15,000 in order to properly guarantee we will be able to rent our filming equipment throughout the various shooting stages of the documentary and enter several film festivals. We've already raised almost $4,250 outside of Kickstarter, but feel it is inappropriate to hound our family and friends for the money we may be unable to raise or save ourselves. Therefore, we've turned to our unknown, like-minded friends!
Thank You SO MUCH and we hope you enjoy!!!
