I've decided to add the three corgi designs that have already been done and were only available at a local convention! These charms were my test runs of 2", double sided, clear acrylic charms just like I want to get the other designs done on and sold very well! I will get an attachments picture up over the next few days as well. Those should be chosen depending on how rough you use them.
Years and years ago, I created a large number of designs for laminated hang tags. I still have the tags and although I tend to forget to bring them out, when I do, the most common question is: Do you have an acrylic charm version of this tag? I moved onto acrylic charms years ago and left these designs behind.
Now, I want to get them created as acrylic tags and in the future do more! This Kickstarter is going to be simple, although I MAY add prints if there is a request for them.
I've created acrylic charms in the past, and one of these designs was one of the first image I did on black acrylic at half the thickness they are now, 1.5" and only ONE SIDE. The larger, clear charms are from my last batch and representative of the style these will be done in.
The charms in this Kickstarter are roughly 2", double sided, on 3MM clear acrylic.
Each charm will include either an aluminum jump ring, split ring, keychain attachment, or cellphone strap with or without adapter.
They are a flat $10 each, which includes shipping in the US. If you are outside the US, you can still participate, but may need to pay for excess shipping when it's time to ship the charms.
And now, here we go, acrylic charm designs!
The first charm set is for Cyantian sunbats! They're active during the day and the night, depending on the species. They are friendly little creatures with a fondness for fruit.
Set 2 is for ferrets! I have had the white one available, but I do have other variations and not only that... but OTHER DESIGNS.
Set 3 is made up of adorable cat girls, waiting about as patiently as my trio of cats do for their food bowls to be filled.
Set 4 features a cat boy who has brought you a gift, a mouse!
Set 5 has a couple of rabbits that have been very popular in print form and is just an adorable image!
Stretch goals unlock additional color variants for the first five sets, then they unlock new sets of charms, starting with a pair of centaurs at $1,500.
At $1,750 TIGER cubs are unlocked, another that I had only printed one version of and that was the Dash version, black with red stripes. The others are normal tigers. The other silhouette is a pudgy owl gryphon aka DRIFT from Alien Dice.
Don't see something you want? As I promised people at my recent convention, I am open to a limited number of CUSTOM acrylic charms. I can create a custom design, which will be $25 plus the cost of ordering the charms and shipping them to you, that's an additional $35. These charms would be 2" in size and clear double sided acrylic like the others, or you can opt for white, frosted, wood, glitter, or pearl charms which would only be one sided. That pays for 10 charms.
If you just want to suggest a species, you're free to do that and also tell me which charms you are interested in! You will get a survey at the end of the Kickstarter if it's successful, but I would like to know for future runs.
Risks and challenges
I have done acrylic charms numerous times and have it down. I've gone through several manufacturers until settling on the current one.
ALL of the designs are complete and the only thing I have to do is send them off to be made, which will be done once the funds have cleared. The only warning I have here is that if you do NOT have your survey filled out within two weeks, you run the risk of not getting the charm you want. I am doing a limited number of each one and some will get more made than others depending on the demand and some will not get made at all if nobody wants one.
My challenges are finding time to get them in the mail in a timely manner and not be at least ONE month late. I warn you... I will likely be one month late. I have a teenager. That should be enough said there. I added in a 'handling' amount to encourage me to get the shipping done faster, because I've found I have to sacrifice a day of my daily work to get things mailed.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
