The wildly popular TV reality series, Ghost Chasers, is hitting its 4th year on the air; to commemorate this milestone, the members of the Ghost Chasers team have decided to broadcast their anniversary show out to the world live.
Having secured what appears to be the venue of all venues in the form of the historic Brenway Movie Theater--a structure with a tarnished reputation going back three generations--the team of paranormal investigators is confident that their 4th anniversary broadcast will be one of their best shows to date. When the sleepy Central Pennsylvania movie house turns out to be a bit more active than the Ghost Chasers had anticipated, however, the prospect of record-breaking ratings quickly takes a back seat to the basest of all human instincts: Survival.
OUR BRAND OF HORROR:
At its core, The Feed is our answer to a question that many of us have asked at one time or another: "What if one of those ghost investigation shows ended up in a spot where something really happened?"
Though we are committed to making The Feed as frightening as possible, all of the early players in the creation of this film agreed that this story shouldn't depend on severed limbs and splatter patterns to do its job. Low on the gore and heavy on the horror, The Feed begins where ultra-low budget thrillers like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity leave off--and we'll make every effort to ensure that audiences have new reason to cover their eyes and identify their emergency exits.
OUR FEARLESS LEADER:
Relying on a 20-year background in not only film creation, but in broadcast television, director and cinematographer Steve Gibson is the creator of The Feed and backbone of this production. Along with a team of hand-picked professionals, plenty of top-of-the-line equipment, and a real historic movie theater to shoot in, all we need to bring this project to the screen is funding for location fees, special makeup effects, props, music and post-production visual effects.
The script has been written and registered. The bulk of our pre-production takes place in May, where we'll finalize our casting and begin creating the horrific effects you'll see on screen. In June, we shoot. In July, we begin the painstaking post-production process including adding additional EFX shots and music.
$11,500 will allow us to completely finish this film by the end of summer, 2010, including creating professional DVD screeners for festivals and distribution agencies.
