Have you ever reached into your purse or pocket and pulled out a random toy, rock or feather that your child asked you to hold days ago? Would you rather not? We've got the perfect solution for you.
Introducing our new patent-pending Hold Please! PockeTeez™!
We've had dozens of kids test out our hand-made prototypes. They give it a thumbs up! Parents on the playground are asking when they will be for sale. We need your help to manufacture enough shirts to bring the price down and add a special water-resistant lining to the pocket.
If we hit our goal before the end of our campaign, we will place the order and hopefully have our first production run (with the water-resistant lined pocket) delivered to us and out to you before the holiday season.
Hold Please! PockeTeez™
What can we say? It's a fanny pack and shirt all in one.
We are starting with sizes 2/3Y, 4/5Y, 6/7Y and 8/9Y in the gender-neutral designs with Legos, rocks and acorns show below. BUT the possibilities for the pocket design are endless.
How much can you fit in your PockeTeez™?
A whole army of minifigures!
What do kids think?
- "I feel like this should be a product already. Why isn't it?" - Nora, age 8
- "I want one of those. Can you give me one?" - Various random kids coming up to us in the park (um, please remind your kids not to talk to strangers!), ages 2-7
- And a personal favorite:

Hatch Things is a small Brooklyn-based product design firm, creating smart solutions for families on-the-go. Founder Sonjie Feliciano Solomon is an artist/designer mom of three kids - proud (and exhausted) to have one each in elementary, middle and high school. Hatch Things' first product was the ColdSnap™ coat-extension baby cover. Next came the SureShop™ no-tip stroller bag. Now we have Hold Please! PockeTeez™. We are growing as our kids do. You can find out more about us on our website www.hatchthings.com. And check out some of our great press:
Time to give back
Too often homeless children only have the few possessions they can carry with them to the shelter: a prized stuffed animal, a box of crayons, a Hot Wheels car. Together, we can help these kids keep their treasures secure and snug with a gift of Hold Please! PockeTeez™ shirts.
For years, Sonjie and her family been volunteering with a Brooklyn CAMBA shelter and we are excited to support them again. CAMBA is a wonderful non-profit agency providing services that connect people with opportunities to enhance their quality of life. We will be sending shirts to the children in their three family shelters located in Brooklyn and Queens. You can help make this happen with your pledge!
Thank you and please help spread the word!
When you spread the word, we have a better chance to hit our goal and get these shirts out to all the treasure hunters and gatherers out there.
Thank you for all of your enthusiasm and support! And a special thanks to those family and friends who've been there right by our side for the past few years. We couldn't have made it this far without you.
Risks and challenges
Our shirts are already designed and we have a great manufacturing partner. If we hit our goal before October 31, we will place the order and have our first production run (with the water-resistant lined pocket) delivered to us and out to you before the holiday season.
We understand, though, that hiccups can occur in the manufacturing process. (We've learned a lot along the way with our other products.) So in the event of any delay or issue, we will keep the lines of communication open and update you along the way.
Early bird backers will be receiving our first run shirts, in stock now but without the water-resistant lined pocket.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
