the annual: a minimalist calendar to clarify your 2016 goals
Days are messy, your plans shouldn't be. Use it as a planner, organizer, notebook or journal. No matter, it's a calm place to plan.
As our lives fill with alert messages and reminder vibrations I invite you to simplify, to get back to basics. Things like work bags, briefcases and wallets are slimming down, your workflow can too.
With minimal design cues, The Annual is much more flexible than your average day runner. Unlabeled fields of lines, white space and grids help guide, but don’t direct what goes where.
The Annual is an ideal solution if you, or someone you know, is:
- wanting less screen-time
- constantly jumping at smartphone alerts
- looking to focus more on what matters, being less reactive
- pursuing mindfulness and limiting distractions
- just a total "paper feels better" person, like me.

*PLEASE NOTE; Images and video are of a pre-production prototype. What's the same: Interior pages are actual stock, binding is of actual method. What will be different: The cover stock. The cover will be 2x as thick as shown, and will have consistent color at the edges (forgive the flaked edge—happening due to laser printing of prototype. Production cover will be printed offset).

Risks and challenges
The Annual project is pretty straightforward—but it's been a lot of years in the making. If I can get funded we'll be at a quantity that enables a reasonably priced print run. However, my fulfillment partner is not a solo-artist (you should see the machine that stitches the lay-flat binding). A quickly and fully funded project means paper stock on order, presses running at full steam and Priority Mail packages flying from Portland out to your state in 3-days time. The faster I can fund, the faster I the machines start humming. My goal is delivery by Dec 15 or sooner. No matter the forecast I'll update my backers clearly and quickly every step of the way.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
