A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:

Meanwhile the first golf magazine wrote some kind words about our campaign:
„The T-up MkI offers a new way for golf training. By hitting golf balls during the interval mode, the golfer doesn´t has to change set up or grip. By practice on technique things, that´s a big advantage! We change variable to constant!
Often heard during technique lessons: “…. Ok, I can do that in the practice swing but now, I also have to do it while hitting the ball”. Using the T-up MkI - the shift comes immediately. You won´t concentrate on the ball anymore, it´s your swing you will feel, the flow! To manage different kinds of motion sequences in less than one second, honestly, it´s hard enough! Golfers have to do this all day long. To call up variations from motion extensives and to do this in diverse movement speeds will only work if you are able to combine rhythm and timing.
The big goal? No matter what kind of golf swing you are practicing on, a short putt, a 20 feet "chip and run" or a full speed drive from the tee, always try to do it in the same amount of time. This plan will only come together, if the movement speed rises proportional to the movement extension. By practicing with the T-up MkI you will exactly come to this goal very quick and easy.
In golf lessons I ask the player to adjust the ball placing interval to eight sec, let´s say for the next 10 balls.
The exercise? Hitting them with the full swing. After hitting the first two or three shots, the player gets a feeling for the best rhythm to receive the best ball contact. The comparative can be, practicing differential: Again, every eight seconds, ten balls with the new instruction: cut the backswing in half, if possible by using the same swing speed. Especially for this drill, the T-up offers a rhythm supporting acoustic signal-mode. Improve rhythm and timing was never as easy and successfully.
Over the last years, all kinds of radar-controlled measurements found their way in golf lessons, like Flightscope and Trackman. By using the T-up MkI the golf ball always will be placed in the right and same position. So far, by hitting from short grass or from hitting mats, the position of the ball had to be marked.
Developing distance-control, with putting for instance: You don´t have to change your set up or grip, don´t have to bend over to place the next ball. Maintaining your address position means, you can focus on your rhythm and timing. There´s no waste of time until your reaction to a just played ball. By visualize the distance and to get a good distance control, not more than two seconds should pass between the last look to the target and the start of the movement.
So the T-up MK1 offers a huge training benfit for all skill levels!
2 years ago I was training on a fully automated driving range. A range equipped as only perhaps 1% of all existing driving ranges are.
I absolutely loved the flow I was getting into! Not beeing interrupted by replacing the ball, finding grip and stand again and then only hitting this one ball.
I was just hitting one ball after another and my body reacted with a sort of ease in the swing I never felt before.
Beside this it was clear to me that it would be another gain for effective training if one could combine this with a set timing and acoustic support.
Back home I was at first searching the web just for a mobile automatic tee up machine without considerable results. And this is where it all started...
So here we are! I never thought I would be doing a kickstarter campaign one day as I am very established in my job, but this idea was just too good... As an architect and engineer I am well educated in construction and along with my skills in modelcrafting I felt able to develop a device that meets my requirements and fulfills the perceptions of "engineering made in Germany".
R&D is a team game and since the first working model, Roger and Christof supported me all the way until now and together we were able to develop the T-up MK1 to production stage and give it a sexy look.
Starting from zero with one of the biggest problems to solve: Placing a ball reliable on several heights because the unit should work in several situations, from the putting green to the driver tee. The patent research to this theme unveiled a lot of basic approaches about auto tee up machines, going back to the year 1938.
But we wanted not just this, we wanted a training aid! And in every known solution the ball was either running on the spot and the momentum of the rotation makes it impossible to fit our needs or there was a system combined with a specific tee and mat. This was also not what we expected from a tool that can do all the different training stuff. In fact we came clear that all this is only possible if the ball is layed up in a non-rotating state...
After a lot of prototyping this is the solution we were looking for:
The ball is pushed into the seating by a reliable stepper motor and from there, everything works just over gravity and spring tension. This makes the whole system very durable.
According to our opinion this is as simple as ingenious. And "keep it simple" is always a good goal!
The whole device is made in high quality. The housing is made of powdercoated aluminium with a nice semi matte finish. The electronic provides two modes and adjustments.
Beside this we wanted the unit to have a nice, beautiful and clean look. So we also spent a big part on designing it.
We choosed "Shapr3D" for Ipad Pro for the whole design process which we never regret since. The workflow is incredible and we were able to do a lot resarch 3d printing in a short time.
Once you arrived at the driving range you will find the device very easy to use. Place it where you want to practice, level if needed, fill up with balls and go for it!

Risks and challenges
Risks and challenges are everywhere if you realize an idea to a business. These are especially:
We`ve chosen a conservative goal to ship the units to our backers. The fact that eveything is produced in germany helps us to fulfill this but nevertheless there is no 100% guarantee.
Our worldwide shipping partner is DHL, known for reliability. The units are safely packed but there can always problems occur such as damage, delay or lost items.
A low risk because all german companies chosen are known for quality for many decades. We have a inhouse quality control before the units are shipped to be sure every unit is working properly.
So you see there is not much to fear, not more than propably by any online deal. But you can be sure if anything happens we will be straight, honest and fair to be sure our backers don`t regret it!
Please take note of the fact that we are going to ship worldwide and tried to keep the shipping costs as low as possible. Depending on the country we ship to, there can occur vat or taxes which are not part of the shipping and may produce extra costs for you!
