SAY HELLO TO THE WIPEBOOK PRO
I'm very happy to showcase the latest member of the wipebook family; Wipebook Pro. After taking in all your feedback from past versions of the Wipebook Notebooks & Wipebook Journals, we wanted to create something that truly fit your needs. It was clear that people wanted the wipebook to look beautiful yet stay functional, and we think we've done just that.
When we launched the Wipebook Journal (Wipebook 3), it was our first kick at the can at making something that looked professional and it looked pretty amazing. However, people wanted something that easily lay flat so that it could be optimized for digitization and had more of a leathery feel. We also added black internal backs for the covers so that mobile capture apps have an easier time finding page borders when scanning.
People also mentioned that they constantly lost their pens, and this was problematic for us as well. This was one of the reasons for including a integrated pen holder in the product.
Overall, we are really happy with the new look and feel. Although the tweeks seem small, it actually makes all the difference in the world in terms of usability and that was important to us.
DETAILS & TESTING :
As requests come in for testing, I will be adding more hands on video of the product in action. Please post in the comments sections any questions you might have and I'll try to creative videos to clarify everything.
Here are the list of current rewards we are offering. Keep in mind that because we are Canadian, kickstarter by default can only collects in canadian dollars (CAD). Most folks are likely from the US so we've tried to clarify pricing in USD for all of you.
We produce our wipebooks locally in Ottawa, Ontario but ship across North America. Our patented hypergloss dry erase pages for wipebook pro are produced using our printed UV gloss process. Print is first applied using standard printing press technologies, and then layered with our UV gloss film.
Unlike past versions, we bind using a bronze colored wire-o to bind the pages and the covers are made using a durable faux leather sheet
WHO ARE WE?
Toby Maurice: Although he may be the old man of the team, Toby is definitely a man child at heart with endless energy. Toby holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Ottawa. He is Team Wipebook's Logistic's master, handling everything from getting patents in 3 months (record time!), trade marks and keeping the books straight.
Risks and challenges
We've gone through a few of these campaigns, and our biggest challenge in this entire campaign will be costing. Producing the leather covers isn't as straight forward as historical versions and there are additional costs associated. However, we've luckily produced a pre-batch that we will be able to ship soon after the campaign ends, so we can guarantee that the manufacturing process is pretty straight forward
The other challenge is meeting the deadline we've set for ourselves. Every time we've planned a campaign, it has always run over time. However we think we've added enough buffer this time around, to overcome any unexpected delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
