“The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan” is a miniature homage to my love of 80s and 90s Saturday morning cartoons. To this day, shows like He-man, Thundarr the Barbarian, and ThunderCats (HO!) are a huge influence on my work. I love the good old days when bad guys were bumbling and good guys were people you could look up to. And that’s something I want to recreate with this miniatures line.
The initial concept for Little Knife was first drawn in 2011. With the creation of this character, a story began to unfold in my mind. I haven’t stopped thinking about Little Knife, his adventures, and all the fun characters that inhabit his world since. Now, with your help, these characters can come to life on your tabletop to experience epic exploits, vanquish vile villains, and most importantly… HAVE FUN!
$3000 - Owl Swordmaster Add-On UNLOCKED
Upon reaching this goal, the Owl Swordmaster will join "The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan" as an Add-On purchase (or a single figure choice for the Choose Your Own Adventurer reward).
An Add-On can be added to any pledge. After backing, click the "Manage My Pledge" button. Increase your pledge by the dollar amount of any Add-On you would like to receive.
EXAMPLE: "The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan" pledge ($35) + "Owl Swordmaster" add-on ($9) = $44 total pledge amount.
Add an additional set of "The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan" (6 minis) - $35
"The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan" miniatures are cast in high quality pewter by one of the finest foundries in the industry. Each character is designed to work with existing miniatures lines while evoking a fun style that allows them to stand out.
While it’s always fun to collect and paint unique miniatures, “The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan” minis are perfect for gaming as well. Games like Monte Cook’s “No Thank You, Evil!”, light-hearted D&D adventures, and a plethora of other sword and sorcery rulesets will be enriched with Little Knife and his band of adventurers.
Each miniature in the set comes with either a 20mm or 25mm square base depending on size.
The miniatures are sculpted in the popular modern 32mm scale. That is, where the average adult stands 32mm from the sole of the feet to eye level. There will be variation as children, hulking brutes, and creatures come in all shapes and sizes.
There are FOUR reward levels available in “The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan” Kickstarter. You can pick a reward from the list to the side or scroll down to see what each reward includes.
Shipping will NOT be collected during the Kickstarter. Instead, backers will be able to pay for shipping of their rewards using a pledge manager systems once the Kickstarter has concluded and the products are ready to ship. There are several reasons for doing it this way, but the main reason is to keep shipping costs as low as possible for YOU, the backer. Please note these rates are estimates based on "The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan" Pledge. I will do my best to cap them at the rates below and offer cheaper shipping for single figure backers.
Since 2002, I've been sculpting miniatures professionally. My work can be seen among a plethora of companies including Reaper Miniatures, Wizkids, and MegaCon Games. Along with my passion for making little “green” men is my desire to help others learn how to create their own. I've helped many aspiring miniatures sculptors through my regular classes taught at Gencon and other conventions. In 2015 I created The Mini Sculpting Super Show. A YouTube series that reaches thousands of people interested in sculpting and working in the miniatures industry.
A special thanks...
... to Chris Doughman for lending his exceptional graphic design talent to the project. His contribution has been pivotal in creating the fun cartoony atmosphere that "The Adventures of Little Knife and Kronan" are all about.

Risks and challenges
I have over 12 years of experience working in the miniatures industry. This includes freelance and in-house sculpting, project planning, design as well as running 2 successful Kickstarters of my own.
The two biggest challenges facing any project is the development and manufacture of the product. All of the sculptures are finished so development is already complete. Manufacturing will be handled by Fortress Figures. One of the most experienced and trusted casters in the industry. Fortress Figures is close by allowing me to check on the progress as well as receive everything in a timely manner.
Lastly, I have kept this Kickstarter intentionally focused in scope and size to ensure delivery on or before the dates stated in the pledge levels.
