What if we could create a Bible study that is theologically sound, easy to use, accessible to persons with intellectual disability, and still challenging to those without intellectual disability?
That’s TOGETHER. And this is the next step.
We need $6,500 to complete this online, accessible Christmas study and release it on Dec. 1 to be used by both disability ministries and small Bible study groups worldwide this Advent season.

Christmas TOGETHER
Will you help us create a Christmas study that uses rich multimedia resources to make it more engaging and accessible to people of all abilities? "The Magi: Unexpected Guests" is the latest inclusive Bible study in the TOGETHER curriculum. It focuses on the significance of the Magi and their trip to find and worship Jesus. Official details are below:
The Magi: Unexpected Guests by Barb Newman
Who did the Israelites expect to find worshiping the Messiah? Strangers from a distant land? Surely not! But God invited the Magi to be witnesses to Jesus’ birth. These visitors from afar tell us something important about who Jesus is and what it means to follow him.

About Friendship Ministries
For 35 years, Friendship Ministries has created tools for churches that allow people of ALL abilities to grow in the body of Christ. Our vision for 'disability ministry' is persons with and without intellectual disability growing in faith together, side by side. We have a ministry model and curriculum which has been utilized by hundreds of "Friendship groups" across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
Three years ago, we launched the TOGETHER curriculum to meet a need for modern, inclusive Bible studies. The TOGETHER studies have focused on topics like prayer, the attributes of Jesus, living with pain, spiritual gifts, and an annual Christmas unit. They include multimedia resources such as video, dramas, music, and sign language that is meant to engage persons of all abilities.
Risks and challenges
Potential risks and challenges to this project are minimal, pending the $6,500 in production costs. This newest study, "Gifts of the Magi" has been completely planned and its release is only inhibited by lack of funding.
