Meet Fidget and Moe
They are two cats taken in from the streets of Brooklyn as kittens that have lived with me in the outer boroughs of New York City since then. Follow along on their adventures through apartment living. Their antics are sure to bring a smile to your face!
I've self-published five issues of Counter Attack! at this point and have completed the art for the equivalent of three additional issues. You can read the first issue of Counter Attack! in the comics section on my website. Since all of the mini comics are out of print, this is the perfect time to combine the old issues with brand new art into one pretty, hardcover collection.
$9,300 (MET!)- I'll be able to get spot gloss to accent the book covers.
$9,600 (MET!)- EVERYONE who pledged over $20 will get a cute 1 inch cat button.
$10,100 (MET!)- EVERYONE who pledged over $20 will also get an awesome sticker sheet of cute cats.
$11,700- The 1 inch button will be upgraded to a 3 pack of 1 inch cat buttons for EVERYONE who pledged over $20. This stretch goal will more importantly help me to print 750 books instead of the original 500 copies I was aiming for.
- 180 pages

Most of the rewards are self explanatory, but here are some art samples for the higher tiers:
*NEWLY ADDED!* Pledge $45 or more: DIGI CAT! Due to popular demand I've added a few more spots for a digitally painted avatar of your cat. Please note this tier includes a digital PDF of the book, but not a physical copy of the book.
Pledge $55 or more: SCRATCHING POST! A digitally painted avatar of your cat to use on your blog or favorite social network. You will receive a survey after the campaign ends with information on how to submit reference photos.

Pledge $200 or more: KITTY CASTLE! Watercolor pet portrait (5x7 inches, portrait or landscape orientation, ink and watercolor wash on acid free watercolor paper) You will receive a survey after the campaign ends with information on how to submit reference of your pet.
Pledge $500 or more: CAT ISLAND! An animated GIF of your cat! Did I mention I also work as an animator? Well, I do and I will make you a small looping GIF (however you want to pronounce it). Check out the video if you haven't already, there is some animation I did in there. You will receive a survey after the campaign ends with information on how to submit reference of your pet.
I'd like to be as transparent as possible with where the numbers from my budget are coming from, so here you go:
- $6504 Printing and shipping 500 hardcover books
- $1367 Postage and shipping supplies
- $117 Production of 600 postcards
- $1080 PayPal and Amazon fees, taxes
- $9068 Total (I rounded it down to $9000 even)
What if you don't make your goal?
If I don't reach my funding goal, I don't get ANY of the the funds raised(!) and will not be able to print The Collected Counter Attack as I envision it. As the interior art is already complete, I may sell the PDFs through a service like Gumroad or Comixology, but this is not my first choice.
What if you exceed your goal?
If I exceed my goal, I have priced out some bonus features for the books such as foil type for the covers and custom endpapers. I've also looked at pricing for stretch goals like awesome multiple button packs and sweet vinyl cat stickers!
There are a lot of Kickstarter campaigns out there, thanks for checking out The Collected Counter Attack! Now go click on one of those reward tiers to the right and help make The Collected Counter Attack! a reality. Your support is appreciated!
Risks and challenges
The art for the interior of the book is complete. I will be finalizing the cover design and checking the page layouts for print while the campaign is running. I already have a print quote and delivery estimate for the books thanks to Ashley at Print Ninja.
Any delays in getting the books to the printer by the end of the campaign would be minimal and I've added in a few extra weeks to my fulfillment estimates. I'll be sure to update project backers if there are any production delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
