"He Who Has It All" is a short film about James, a young man that externally has a socially desirable life: good looks, money, a budding career and a beautiful girlfriend. However, internally he is struggling to deal with his psychological well-being aka Mental Health. As James starts to achieve everything he wanted professionally and socially, his mental state deteriorates.
This film offers a glimpse into James' struggle with mental health, his self-medicating cry for help and the reactions of those closest to him. This story reflects a reality in our society. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem, 3 in 4 people fear the reactions of friends if they talk about their mental health problems and 9 out of 10 people with mental health problems experience stigmas and discrimination. In here lies the problem - the misconception of mental illness and the stigma that follows leads to those suffering to live in fear. I believe this is unacceptable in today's day and age - especially for an illness that is so common.
Everyone has suffered from or knows someone who has suffered from a form of mental health. We believe Film is one of the most influential forms of art and we intend to bring the two together to make a much-needed change. Government funding for many young emerging artists in the UK is hard to come by. Kickstarter has given us a platform and community to support new talent in the UK and for many of us, Short films are a gateway into the profession of Film and helps young British talent develop and find their feet in the industry. Through the medium of film, we hope to shed light on this prevalent issue that is mental health and raise awareness about those struggling with mental health, whilst also making a professional standard film to represent British filmmaking at international film festivals.
The script is in place and the lead Actors are ready to go. Although this is a collaborative project and many people are willing to lend a hand because they believe in the project and the cause, there are still costs that need to be covered to ensure that this project is made to the highest standard possible. This is where you guys come in and save the day. With your donations we will be able to cover the cost of camera and equipment rentals, location rental and other little things that are often forgotten but are also important such as insurance.

Mercy and Wild Collaboration
In collaboration with ethical clothing brand Mercy and Wild we will produce two limited edition T-shirt's to help the fundraising. A portion of the sales will be given to MIND a chosen organisation that I believe is giving ground breaking support to those suffering with mental health issues.
Mercy & Wild is a brand that fuses the often juxtaposed industries of "fashion" and "charity". Each season, our collection is themed around a different charitable cause and we commission illustrators to portray their take on the concept to be printed one of our t-shirts.
Scott Garrett - www.garrettworld.co.uk
Scott has designed a wonderful illustration that plays on the notion that mental health issues cannot just be switched off whenever we feel like it.
Mike Stout - www.stoutisland.com
Mike has designed a beautifully intricate graphic that shows an 'open mind' with elements of 'time'. These represent the breaking down of stigmas and slogan 'time to change'.
Risks and challenges
We are assembling an amazingly talented crew to make something meaningful and beautiful. As any filmmaker will acknowledge there is risk of experiencing unforeseeable circumstances. Preparation and anticipation is key to dealing with this. Taking great care of our crew, setting a practical work schedule, and having a wide and supportive network of professionals paired with our talent and dedication means that nothing will hold us back from completing this beautiful project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
