We spend a lot of time at our desks. Office workers, students, executives, we're working at them all the time. But we never thought of them as anything other than a level writing surface. Until now.
Top companies like Google have been implementing "collaborative workspaces" in their offices, filled with dry-erase surfaces to improve their employees' creativity, collaboration, and efficiency. Now, we're making this available to you.
Wrap applies with an adhesive backing. This isn't dry-erase paint that requires you to buy buckets of the stuff, apply several coats, wait days for it to dry, and permanently damage your furniture. A redefined workspace is accessible to anyone.
We were a little insulted when someone asked us if Wrap was like "a big sticker" but if you insist, then this is the most high-tech sticker you've ever seen. The adhesive is low-tack, removable, and re-positionable so it's ridiculously easy to apply. And it contains air channels that change air bubbles from an annoyance to stupid amounts of entertainment.
We all have different workspaces and like to work differently. So Wrap caters to everyone by offering dry-erase and wet-erase options. The correctable pens shown in this video resist smudging, but can be erased like wet-erase markers, or scrubbed away with tissues or the shown eraser (packaged with Deluxe package).
In a dorm room you have to move out of in a semester? Worried that Facilities might not take kindly to permanent changes to office furniture? Wrap is completely and effortlessly removable.
Update: New, bigger mini-wraps!
We're increasing the size of our mini-wraps to 9" x 11" No stretch goal, no catch, we just wanted to do this as a thank you to our backers! The bigger size should provide a more functional and usable space! And if you prefer the original dimensions (or want your own dimensions), Wrap can be cut easily by yourself.
No Early Bird Pricing?
We've never found it appealing when we see creators who add Early bird tiers to slowly ramp up the price as each gets filled. We think it'd be much fairer and simpler to just offer the lowest possible price to all our backers.
After the campaign ends, we will send out a survey to collect your mailing address and the dimensions of the Wraps you ordered. So we don't need the exact measurements of your desk until the end of the funding campaign. However, if you need to check whether you need to order the 54" or 70" Wrap, there's an easy way to check!
A standard 8.5"x11" sheet of paper roughly lined up five times will measure 55", so it's a quick and easy way to check which Wrap you need to order.
Risks and challenges
Offering a reward that is custom made for each backer is something unique to our campaign. Obviously, this adds an additional step to manufacturing, but we have set up a production process that is quick and efficient, and will allow us to ship on a timely schedule. Furthermore, we have set up additional manufacturers we can outsource production to, in the case that demand is too much for our operation to handle.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
