About this project
Spinflo demonstrates the physics of fluid dynamics, or the movement of fluid. All around us, every day, we experience fluid dynamics, although we may not even know it! Air currents and water flows are examples of fluids in motion.
Spinflo allows you to visualize and manipulate these motions, as they form intricate and diverse patterns. By using the touch of your hand, you can create turbulent or smooth flows, spinning it in different directions with different speeds. The patterns are dynamic and intricate, and just plain fun to see! Whether used as a toy, a desktop accessory, a midday brain break, or just a fun mechanism, Spinflo is suitable for all ages, and can make a great gift, too!
We've always been fascinated by all of the cool toys that show physical laws in motion. From a spinning top, to a gyroscope, or even Newton’s cradle, these little inventions have captivated and intrigued us, as well as people of all ages. We wanted to create a gadget that would do the same, but in a different way.

Choosing the right materials was essential.
We've chosen these 4 colors for it's aluminum body since they best reflect the micro powder and showcase the patterns.
Spinflo's body is made from aluminum and quartz glass to provide durability and a clean design.
We've already manufactured all of our prototypes, and we are ready for production. In order to lower the costs of manufacturing, we need to meet the minimum order requirement, that's why 100% of funding will go towards production.
Risks and challenges
1. BUBBLES: We never thought it was possible to dislike them! A key aspect of Spinflo is that there is no air inside the body, so that no bubbles can distort or alter the patterns of design created by fluid dynamics. Figuring out how to assemble Spinflo WITHOUT the bubbles took many, many, many attempts, and much frustration! But we got it ;)
2. Sealing Spinflo: Working with sealing material and avoiding bubbles also added to the trickiness, but we've found a solution that gets the job done.
3. Manufacturing: After several collaborations with different manufacturers and receiving many samples, we've generated a list of reliable suppliers for all of Spinflo's materials. Because of this we don't foresee any delays in production. But just in case, we have back-up suppliers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
