CulBox, an Open Source DIY Smart match for Arduino:
CulBox is a tiny wearable wrist watch made for Arduino makers who are ready to make tons of applications with the easy to use Arduino libraries and samples for this new technology.
The main processor on this watch is a tiny RFDuino ARM Cortex with the built in Bluetooth Low Energy Made by RF Digital Company and named Simblee which is very common and popular and has tons of samples and libraries

Although the SDKs are available to make Native apps for who have experience with app development, CulBox has this ability that gives you the power of making apps on your iPhone or Android device without knowing anything about app developing and using Android SDK or Xcode!
The Simblee chip we used on this product comes with a multi purpose raw app that you can download it from App Store or Google Play Store for free and then use that app as a user interface only and design your app in your Arduino code. the Simblee app acts like a raw touchscreen display that has libraries like making buttons, drawing lines and circles and etc. so with the CulBox Arduino libraries and the samples, you will be able to easily make your app and connect your watch to your phone and use it for your application.
16bit 1.5" OLED Display:
The display is a very common Arduino OLED 1.5" 16bit color SPI display from Adafruit that has high resolution, good quality and low power consumption. the display is OLED that means all pixels are individual LEDs. that means when the color is black, its absolutely black!. it's supper easy to run the display in Arduino with all samples and libraries. Built-in BLE and short range Radio:
Simblee chip has a built-in radio module that can be used as a Bluetooth Low Energy or as a short range 2-way radio transceiver .
BLE mode is used for communicating between the Watch and your iPhone or Android Device
The short range radio if for intercommunicating between two or more Hardwares or between your Watch and RFDuino products to transfer data or control something with your Watch remotely
Communicate with Other
A very sensitive and precise 6D motion sensor is on the board that can be used for applications such as Step Counter, Accellerometer, Gesture Detector and many many other applications. The Accelerometer can measure up to 16g and can be used for measuring the compact or Acceleration
24Bit Air Pressure Sensor / Altimeter:
Supper sensitive digital high resolution air pressure sensor that can measure the air pressure difference with 24bits worth of resolution . that means you can calculate the Altitude from the sea level without GPS and even more accurate than the GPS!
CulBox has a Micro-Sd memory slot to use high capacity memory cards as a high speed memory as a storage. it can be useful for applications such as a Music Player, Audio Recorder and/or any application that needs storage.
CulBox has an Audio output jack that can be used for headphones or to be connected to the speaker amplifier or any other audio device. it can be used to generate signals with the micro controller or to play music from the SD card. samples codes are available for the backers. watch the video below to hear the sound quality.
There is a Built in Piezo on CulBox Board to be able to make short beep sounds or even play ring melodies. the Piezo is connected to the PWM pin directly so the user have complete access to that. here in this video you can see a melody is playing with CulBox using the Piezo speaker

Built in Microphone:
There is a very tiny microphone on CulBox board which is connected directly to the microcontroller so you can use it to record audio or use the Arduino libraries to detect voice commands such as clapping hands or snapping like the picture below:
Battery and Power:
All of the devices used in this board are super low power and the whole device can last for months in standby mode with the 500ma battery.
There is a smart battery fuel gauge chip used in CulBox to make it easy to monitor the battery charge level all the time even when the device is off.
A built in charger chip can charge the device from the USB port or a wall charger in one hour.
Multi-Purpose USB Port:
The USB port on CulBox is a Multi Purpose port that can be used for charging the internal battery, connecting the device to Arduino for programming, acting as a serial port to communicate with terminal software or debug the code.
