About this project
Let's bust this out:
Snapixel Magazine is a startup photography culture publication based out of San Francisco. Our goal is to promote creative and engaging photography, and the artist behind the camera.
As a young team, we know what it's like to try and enter the artistic community. We want to give emerging talent, from photographers to writers and everything in between, an avenue for discovery.
We're a community driven publication, our best source of material is you. Our goal is to come together - we don't just want to be your publisher, we want to be your partner. As Bill Nye would say, something like a symbiotic relationship.
Snapixel is about more than just pretty pictures - we offer in-depth features that look at the photography and into the photographer's process. Our articles are well-researched and designed to capture each artist's unique style and persona. Beyond the individual artists, Snapixel also offers reviews on products, information on pop culture and an art calendar highlighting the freaking awesomest art events around.
That's where you come in. We need your help, Kickstarters! We want to raise at least $6,000 to help us print and distribute our magazine. We've done some test runs, and the magazine really shines in print. We want to be able to reach a wider audience and expose our featured artists to everyone everywhere!
And don't forget, Snapixel loves contributors! If you want to submit photography, writing, or any other random project that you have to share, check out our information below:
