About this project
Imbrian Arts is expanding its range of resin miniatures with a collection of undead creatures. Each figure is detailed to sickeningly putrid perfection and oozing character.
Imbrian arts is proud to offer three resin collection boxes for its range of undead miniatures. We've created a campaign that's designed to be small and easy for you to make your pledge. It will also be easier for us to manage so that we can deliver your rewards as fast as possible.
I take great pride and joy in being able to sculpt miniatures and create from my imagination. With the support of backers we'll be able to release models more quickly, and of course continue to create strange and wonderful things!
Resin collection boxes are the most faithful representations of the original sculpture, cast in high quality resin. They include a print of the concept art and a numbered certificate of authenticity. Each figure is housed in a sturdy craft box and protected by two inches of wall to wall foam. Perfect for storing your miniature after it's been assembled and painted.
Why Kick Starter?
When we ran our first Kick Starter the amount of backers who pledged for resin miniatures was relatively small which led Jody to focus his efforts on metal miniature production and produce only enough resin figures to satisfy those backers. We seriously underestimated the demand for resin figures in the miniature painting community outside of KS. What we've learned since then is that most of our customers prefer resin.
Ordinarily we would release miniatures one at a time due to the high cost of resin production and materials included in the boxes. This creates a large gap between releases because of the long production time which has led to Jody being able to sculpt figures faster than we can release them. This has also given us the opportunity to complete all the work required to release a miniature before going to Kick Starter, so the time required fulfil your rewards is kept to a minimum.
Kick Starter allows us to reach a much larger audience and with your support, we're able to offer more miniatures at a faster pace than we would normally be able to achieve.
Q: How much will shipping be?
Shipping will be calculated based on the total weight of your order. Within the US this should be around $3-5. This project is EU friendly. Rewards will be distributed in the EU and UK by Mr Lee's Minis (Kyle Cruickshank). Shipping costs for EU are not yet known but it will be less than intl. shipping from the US to EU. International shipping to the rest of the world has a base price of $12.75 for everything under 1/2 lbs. International backers who want to ensure they get the least expensive shipping can request all of their miniatures be sent in one box. Once your package is ready to ship we will send an invoice to the email you provide.
Q: I backed your last campaign but I like the look of these models better. Can I change my order to resin or switch the models I pledged for?
Yes! You don't need to back this campaign unless you want to. Send us a message and Rashanda or Jody will get back to you and let you know if there's a change in cost.
Q: I backed your last campaign and pledged for resin miniatures. Will these new backers slow down how soon I get my miniatures? Will my certificates be the old style or like what's shown in your video?
No, you'll get yours first or at the same time. All certificates are the new style from now on. YAY!
Q: Who is doing the casting?
Casting is being done in France and the United States by GRX Créations and Valiant.
Risks and challenges
With this campaign we've done all the work up front in order to minimise the chances that there will be any delays or problems delivering. Sculpting, packaging design, master casting, etc. has all been taken care of.
I have good experience with the suppliers of the packaging and materials used in the box and extras and do not expect any issues.
The only delays I could foresee would be based on the work load of the businesses handling the casting of the sculptures, and the quality control process afterwards. They have given us a 6-8 week estimate on their casting. We have taken this estimate and added another month to it in determining our delivery window so we can feel confident that the rewards can be delivered on time.
In my experience once we do receive the products there are sometimes miscast miniatures. We go through all the miniatures and try to pick out the bad ones which the caster replaces. In the rare event that one of the miniatures has a production flaw that occurs in all the miniatures we would have to send them back and ask the caster to replace them. It is unlikely that it would occur but it does happen.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
