Bionicbars is a completely new paradigm in cycling light and power pack recharging systems. Born from the necessity for safety and refined by our love of our electronic devices, Bionicbars is build around the latest LED and battery technology. Utilizing the most reliable, and innovative technology and materials, Bionicbars is designed specifically to make it one of the most powerful lighting and power pack recharging systems available today. Encapsulated in a stealth low-profile shell; the strongest, most durable, and lightest materials available, Bionicbars will be here when you get back and will stand up to the harshest biffs and road rash.
Bionicbars Pharos Models. Available in a Stealth seatpost design, Pharos, and a clip mounted design, PharosFlare. Both designs are available in a single-mode random flash model, a 5-mode 100 Lumens model, a 5-mode 300 Lumens model. Pharos, the seatpost, is available with the option of two different power packs, 25 Watts and 50 Watts. The PharosFlare is only available in 25 Watts. Both the Pharos and PharosFlare have a power pack recharger concealed within them as well. There are two other models that are purely power pack recharges, the Nano-Ampere, and the Pharos-Ampere.
Ultra Bright, Powerful, Efficient. Bionicbars utilizes the most efficient LED's available and the best circuit design for greater cooling, durability and power management. The LED's are powered within their specifications to ensure the greatest efficiency, reliability and longevity. Bionicbars tail lights are brighter than most lights on it lowest setting and the high setting will reach an impressive 300 Lumens, making it one of the brightest. To power such a light, Bionicbars power packs have 25 or 50 Watts of power.
Recharge Your Favorite Electronic Devices. Recognizing the need to recharge devices while on the go, Bionicbars universal 25 & 50 Watt power pack recharger will power a variety of devices. Others power packs cost over $200 for this much power! You will never have to worry about running out of power for your lights or devices.
Bionicbars built-in smart charger allows Pharos to be recharged by any USB power source, at a super fast recharge. Bionicbars utilize an advanced intelligent protection chip, overcharge, discharge, overload, short circuit, and leakage protection. Plug it into a wall outlet, PC, solar panels, crank dynamo, etc via USB. The battery status monitor will go from red to a steady green when fully charged.
Easy On/Off, Mode Change. Bionicbars provide easy on/off and mode change. Pharos is controlled by a single push-button switch, concealed on the front side of the seatpost directly under the seat for easy operations while on the saddle. Pharos100 & 300 push-button switch has 5 modes: low, mid, high, and fast/slow strobe; Pharos-Flash has random flashing mode only.
Greater Safety. Light visibility distance means nothing if the light beam is tiny and under powered! Pharos creates a huge optical tail making you visible to everyone around you without blinding them. Pharos specially designed optics and beam projection angle allow you to be seen regardless if others are in front, to the side, or behind you.
Stealth Design. Its stealth design, is one of its greatest attributes in preventing theft. Cloaked in sleek form, it remains virtually undetectable to the uneducated eye. A watertight silicone cover sitting flush with the seatpost conceals and protects the USB terminals.
The Pharos-Flash and Pharos300 lens window is only 3/8" x 1 1/8" (9x28mm), less than 2 Dimes. The Pharos100 lens window is only 3/8" x 3/8" (9x9mm), a dime, at 17.91 mm diameter, easily can cover the lens window.
Secure. Bionicbars use a proprietary designed security screw locking seatpost clamp. No hardware store tool will unlock these! Their specially designed shape and high-torque abilities deflect vice grips and other tools. A locking seatpost clamp is included with Pharos, and 2 wrenches (in case you lose one)
100% Serviceable. Bionicbars doesn't believe in a disposable lifestyle. That is why Bionicbars is made with the highest quality components. As well, Bionicbars is designed that all components can be serviced or replaced in the event of a failure or a desired component upgrade. All components are designed so that the end user can easily change out the components.
Battery Packs. Based on the most advance battery cells available, the Panasonic NCR18650B cell. The battery is stated to have a cycle life of 1000+ cycles. It is documented with great life cycle performance with over 70% capacity at 2500 cycles, in AA battery terms, that's around 40,000 AA batteries (+ pack). Nothing has the same power for this size nor does anything come close in life cycle.

Bionicbars PharosFlare is a fully integrated minimalist designed taillight and power pack recharger in the smallest package, comparable in size to other tail lights. Housed in CNC machined 7075 aluminum and epoxy with a rugged "everything-resistant" protective coating, allows PharosFlare to be dropped down a mountain or run over by a vehicle without a dent. Uses two 18650 rechargeable Li-ion batteries, so you won't need a special battery pack to replace them.
PharosFlare is not only a bike tail light and power pack recharge, it is a road flare, signaling beacon for hiking/kayaking, etc, an astronomy and tactical flashlight allowing you to see and read without constricting your pupil and taking away your night vision. I believe the future of Bionicbars is very bright. Many prototype of Bionicbars have been build to work out all the bugs and in perfecting it. During that time I have designed and build additional lights, electronic mounts, bike security devices, and power management system product based on the Bionicbars platform.
Bionicbars cost a lot of money and time to build by hand. In order to produce a high quality product and offer it at an competitive price, I must acquire parts, manufacturing on a larger scale.
Bionicbars have successfully achieved its various analysis, engineering, development, and production objectives for optimal manufacturing readiness. Bionicbars source it components directly from the unique manufacturers, or one level of distributions, and has continued to worked collectively with these manufacturers to develop defined modular components. These components are shipped to Bionicbars where testing and assembly will be performed, then packed and shipped to you. I prefer this process to maintain my high quality control standard since a lot of LED’s, PCB’s and batteries may vary greatly than the explicit set specification of the product. We will not allow sub-part components or recycled parts into Bionicbars products.
Once Bionicbars are funded, the purchase orders will be placed, executed, tested, assembly and the finished product packaged and shipped directly to you from Bionicbars, in Seattle, WA.
Bionicbars has enter into confidentiality agreement with their supplier, the appropriate utility patent and trademark applications have been filed, as well as other intellectual property protective measures.
Overall, the risks and challenges are low. Bionicbars has been working with the manufacturers and suppliers for over a year, so production capacities and pricing are completely understood and used to establish the pricing model for Bionicbars.
All components are in full production and are well supplied, for the foreseeable future, as raw materials and labor is stable. As such, the pricing structure seems to continue to be stable.
Bionicbars has a vertical and horizontal load scalable production system, allowing it to easily expand and contract both internal and external resources to meet most any supply demands, while also controlling cost.
While the risk of "Act of God" or events outside of human control, in the countries of components origin and sourcing, are always a possibly and would most likely contribute to supply, production delays and slow delivery, most all other risks are minimal and very stable, for the foreseeable future.
