Lili poured imaginary tea into the cup and gave it to her Pet. Not a Pet in Terms of a living Animal, but a Stuffed Animal. And not a Stuffed Animal in Terms of a not living Animal. It was a Doll representing a little Goat, though alive I dare say—knowing pretty well. “Sorry, Yago” Lili excused, “But there is no iced tea today. Only tea, but not so icey…” Her Doll Goat Yago stared listlessly with its Button Eyes. “Stop grumbling!”, said Lili. “Don’t mumble, be humble, Yago!”
At that time, some force started pulling her house to pieces. “Roof?” little Lilli asked her Doll and lifted her head to see her house falling apart. Wide-eyed did she fetch her little Yago and ran out, just in time to escape the gruesome death by squishedsomeness. As she ran through the collapsing house’s door the quaking force let her stumble over the street, losing little Yago.
All I can guess is that this stupid little Doll realized it was in no safe state. How come I figure? Well usually Yago would wait for a command to grow but this time, he knew he had to save his master. He grows, and grows, and grows until he is large enough to fight off the Tempered that have suddenly appeared and surrounded Lili. Yago walks forward and toward little Lili and grabs the Tempered around her. He reaches Lili, who is lying on the floor, and helps her up.
Short survival mode video. Still lots to do but you can at least get a sense of the combat!
Midaera is the primary town in our game world. The townspeople know almost nothing of outside their land, and generally refuse to believe anything (other than dangerous tigerberries and fiddlewarts) exists out there. The town is a very magical place where the youngest children have the strongest magic powers but slowly lose their power as they get older.
This presents an interesting predicament when someone - say, a crazy old alchemist that wants to bring his magical powers back - accidentally opens a magical prison releasing ancient, evil, tempered beings that want this magic more than the alchemist. While the children of the town have the most magical powers, they lack discipline and skill enough to wield them properly. When these creatures attack the town, this causes a lot of worry in the villiagers, until one very special girl steps up. Lili grew up with no real family and learned very early to harness her powers to help her through life. Her only friend is a small, quirky stuffed animal goat she named Yago. She doesn't remember how she got him, but he has the ability to grow big and protect her when she feels threatened or scared. He has been there every time while she was out in the woods and will never leave her side.
Our goal is to develop a fun, compelling, narrated, story driven game for kids and adults alike.
I have had this story in my head for a long time about a magical town threatened by unknown creatures, and it's up to a very smart young girl to use everything she has learned to overcome great feats. This is a pretty ambitious project for a very small team to complete but we are highly driven to create our vision and with proper funding we can make this a reality even quicker!
I am in the process of putting together proper video demos of the combat and will post them on this page as soon as they are ready. I realize that i couldn't fit in as much about the game play as i wanted with the 250 mb limit and working to add more videos to this page. I have posted a response to a question someone asked me earlier about the gameplay.
I consider the gameplay to be a hybrid 3D 3rd person/side scrolling platformer. That is, it will kinda feel like a side scrolling platformer but at times, the camera will have to change position or direction to allow the player to continue on the journey (Like widening the view, moving closer, moving to a more top-down view, behind looking forward, etc.) - Its a bit easier to understand once you see a video of it. Basically, the camera path and tracking will be a lot more advanced and will do much more than just simply moving left to right.
Because of the nature of the info above, we know that the levels could become very boring (run right, kill something or two, jump over something, flip a switch, over and over, etc) so we want to make the levels as combat heavy and interactive as possible without taking away from the story and narration or becoming too overwhelming. We want to make controls for combat to be very simple to learn but will require skill to master.
Video (Survival Test 1) - This video is just a short demo of our suvival mode. Plenty still needs to be done but we are moving forward!
We will utilize the funds gathered here to help pay for additional help on our game. All levels, modelling, texturing and voice acting will be 100% created by us or groups we work closely with. We don't want funding to purchase models and textures anyone can get. We want this game to be creative, fun and unique! Taking the easy route will not accomplish this!

Currently this project is in its initial concept and development phase. We have created a number of characters and are working on their stories along with details for the main plot. We have finished basic coding on the initial game play mechanics and are currently tweaking the player and enemies create a fun yet challenging experience. We still have a lot of work ahead of us and we feel that, with additional help, we can make this great effort even more fantastic!

Our small team has years of experience in personal game development and 3D modelling along with the drive to complete what we believe to be a very artistic, story driven game. We want to take this knowledge we have learned to the next level and produce a full game for PC and Mac. Ultimately we plan to port this to Xbox 360 and PS3 as well.
Matt has been a programmer for over 10 years. For 5 years he has been been working as a professional programmer on business software and websites. He currently works as a C++ physics game programmer for a training simulation company and spends his free time making games. He has been a hobbyist game programmer for as long as he has been programming and has worked with several different languages and SDK's.
C.A. Marte has been an artist of most different kinds eversince, developing his own palette of styles. He has trained himself in Drawing, Graphic Design, Modelling, Composing and Playing Music, Blender and Blender Game Engine. Not only due to currently being a student of Linguistics in Innsbruck, Austria, but also from massive experience, C.A. has got quite some clue of writing and telling stories, so as well creating worlds and characters.
