We will all be getting this too, in days to come :)
And there's no reason to stop pleding for Kate Russell's book:
That audio book would be reeeaally nice...
We'll do an update early next week just to outline what will happen next and any other news.
Does anyone know which 25 ships we'll get in the game? Are these based on the original designs, like the cobra etc., or will whole new designs be crafted?
UPDATE!!!!! NOW PLEASE!!!!!! WE NEED IT OR WE WON'T MAKE IT!!!!!
(Only partly joking...going through withdrawal here... ;))
@Richard just explain that it will keep you out from under feet for at least 6 months as of march 2014...that'll keep her happy.
Don't forget guys I've created a warm safe place for us to lurk in for the next year over at the Official ED Forums, its the Elite Dangerous Kickstarter Comments Continuation Thread (with edit buttons!) And can be found here:
@Richard Brown : You can tell that it's your money and you can spend it like you want :-)
@izzy: and if it isn't, where's the link for telling my wife I spend £200 on a videogame? :)
@Ronald. Same for me! :D
@Michael - good luck with that! lol. Getting initial ideas is often the hardest part I think.
Are we likely to get a new Dev update any time soon?? :)
Your payment to Elite: Dangerous has succeeded. =)
@all : if your credit card is denied, here a solution : forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3428
Today I'm hoping I have time to start the prep work for the novel.
Hey @Juan... it's a brand new day :)
@Michael - Good morning!! Best morning in a long time. ;-)
Hey Andre! :)
Morning all...it's encouraging to see so many needing a KS fix like me....makes me feel all fuzzy Inside :-)
Morning, UKers :)
@Bifford - ah found it. "THE WINNER IS... CHRIS FORRESTER"
So Michael, has the dust settled a bit? Got time to breathe between answering questions now? ;)
LOL.. Perhaps a hint of a back-up plan was shown then...
Oh btw - who got Mr winter's prize place at the party??
I am so excited that the funding goal has been reached! Not only did we make the original target, but also the stretch goals. So I'm looking forward to the new ships, and being able to play on my Mac!
I am tempted to save all my annual leave from work and use it in March next year!
Congratulations to everyone involved.
Forgot I was signed in with my personal account :-) Back into my official guise now.
@Bifford: the money is already spent anyway. If you're not enjoying the game, continuing to play it will only add waste of time and effort on top of waste of money. ;)
Damn didn't think of doing that
@ Steffan Westcott
Thank you for your response
@Bifford -- Maybe you'll inspire me to do the same, then. I'd better get it done before next year, because there's only one game I'll be playing much of in 2014. \o/
I'm happy to see you all here :)
So who has a new PC on the cards for 2014, or serious upgrading ?
Good morning Michael
@Graeme - very well said. couldn't agree more! :) I think they did it like that because it was a complete overhaul from the first game and they were probably scared people would try to play it like The Witcher (I). hey ho. I'm certainly not going to waste my money by NOT playing it..so at some point I will conquer the thing :D
@michael : good morning :)
@RAMADIER Patrick Frontier are sorting that out now and will notify us through the e-mail address you supplied on your Kickstarter profile
@Bifford -- Ah, maybe I should give it another go, then. Like you, I find my gaming time very limited these days, though, and I have a pile of other unplayed games demanding my attention.
Really, they should've tried to integrate the tutorial stuff throughout, rather than making us endure all that. Either that, or just throw us in at the deep end and make us learn by doing. I find there's a bit too much hand-holding goes on these days -- not like when they chucked us into our Cobras and we just had to get on with it. :p
@Tim L - Greetings!
Good morning everyone!
Please! Forum private donors already exists?
@Steffan - Same here. Email said "YOU FAILED!" so went to the link and it went through straight away.
@graeme - I have been told by numerous people that "it is just the tutorial" that feels like that. once you get into the free-flow game it is apparently much better. However as I'm still to finish the tutorial (which is fecking huge...why does it need to be that long!?) it doesn't endear itself to me :}
But then, a wife and one year old toddler doesn't help much with my gaming time....neither does the several websites I'm building/updating...LOL :D
Morning everyone :) Kickstarter payment processing seems shaky to me. I had my card refused last night, but I simply hit the "Pledge" button without changing any details, and the payment appeared to work.
@Donoghue: have them surgically removed from our index fingers so they can be reinserted into the keyboard?
@juanm Tnx :)
@Bifford -- I'm still in the "tutorial" part, too. Unlike you, I didn't play the original, but picked up the sequel while it was on offer after reading the great reviews. Somehow, it just hasn't drawn me in, which is unusual, because it's the type of game I ought to love. I'm normally quite patient, so I can't explain what put me off this one so early, but "not feeling it" describes it pretty well.
