Revolutionary case for the iPhone 5 & 5s inspired by the Sahara desert.
Why Sahara Case is Different:
1. Shatterproof screen protector designed for Sahara Case provides maximum protection for your iPhone 5/5s screen. Besides being shatterproof, our screen protector is bubble free, HD clear, virtually eliminates fingerprints, feels smooth to the touch, and has curved polished edges around the home button. It is absolutely the best screen protector on the market.
2. Our slim design does not feel bulky in your hand, yet it is one of the strongest cases in the industry. Shock absorbing materials wrap around the hard skeleton to provide maximum protection for the iPhone.
3. Revolutionary camera hood allows you to take better pictures with deep rich colors. Designed to accommodate iPhone 5s flash.

Free Your Inner Adventurer
We obsessed over the Sahara Case for the past year. The attention to detail is incredible. We left nothing to chance. We wanted to create a mobile phone case that we would proudly use ourselves, and give as gifts to friends.
Slim Uncompromising Protection
We felt that a slim mobile case should not mean a weak mobile case. Slim but Strong.
We were able to accomplish the objectives of slim design and maximum protection of the phone by adding layers of polyurethane rubber and textured plastics in a multi-step injection process. This kept the case slim and strong.
The process begins by first injecting a hard textured plastic, followed by an injection of polyurethane rubber that fuses itself to the plastic. We then spray a thin coat of rubber-like material to the inside of the case to protect the surface of the phone from any scratches while inserting the phone into the case.
Best Screen Protection
The screen protector is tempered glass because we found this was the best way to protect the screen while preserving the great touch feel of an LCD screen.
We decided to use only the best materials from Japan. By using tempered glass over the standard screen protectors found in most other cases, we made it almost impossible to break the screen on the phone. We tested by striking a hammer to a LCD screen with the tempered glass protection. It took several hard blows with a hammer to finally break the screen protector, but we were not able to break the LCD under the tempered glass protector.
What we really love about the tempered glass was the feel of the screen protector. It really feels the same as the original LCD, because it is made from similar materials as the LCD of the iPhone. Also the tempered glass has an anti-fingerprint coating that helps keep the surface of the screen clean.
Also, the screen protector is only 3mm thick, and flushes perfectly with the edges of the Sahara Case. The layer of tempered glass provides maximum protection to the LCD screen, while not compromising on the user’s experience.
Fusion of Multiple Textures
Sahara Case was designed to feel great in your hand. The different textures of the case allow the light to bounce off different surfaces, giving the case an exceptional look. The interaction of textured and smooth plastics, at specific points in the case makes the phone case very comfortable to hold. The polyurethane rubber that surrounds the case provides protection and absorbs shock when the phone is accidentally dropped.
The Sahara Case embodies the spirit of adventure that we all have inside of us. The Sahara Desert has always been a mysterious place full of adventure.
When we think about the Sahara Desert, we envision lifeless rolling sand dunes, engulfed in the fiery heat of the blazing sun… where mysterious nocturnal creatures come out of hiding and crawl around the unforgiving sand dunes scavenging for food. Yet, when rains come to the desert, seemingly out of nowhere, dozens of the most beautiful flowers and plants sprout, and instantaneously, the lifeless desert is transformed into an oasis.
In designing our Sahara Case, we fell in love with the idea of staying true to the colors of the Sahara Desert.
The Sahara Desert boasts a myriad of colors that we wanted to capture into our cases. Some of our initial colors will be: Blazing Sun Orange ™, Scorpion Black ™, Sahara Night Blue ™, Desert Rose Pink ™, and Saffron Purple ™.
Our Scorpion Black case is inspired by the scorpions of the Sahara Desert. Commonly associated with desert terrain, these dangerous creatures scour the desert in search of food. They prefer to hide beneath rocks and debris during the heat of the day and come out at night when the air is cool. Using their fast legs to dart out after their prey, they attack other small creatures with their powerful pincers and their trademark stingers. Their toxic sting, which in some species is strong enough to kill a person, effectively neutralizes their target.
Although the Sahara Desert is not an easy place to live, the desert scorpion knows how to make the most of the area’s limited resources. Absorbing water from the flesh of its prey provides it with enough moisture to survive the harsh desert conditions. Its effective means of attack allows it to capture enough food to survive. The scorpion embodies a spirit of adventure and danger, which we have tried to capture in this case.
Blazing Sun Orange
The Sahara Desert is a place of beauty, adventure, and danger. Lovely scenery and flowers reside amongst treacherous sand dunes. Searing hot temperatures roast the terrain by day while freezing temperatures chill the landscape by night. Water and food are hard to come by, yet the sky is clear. When you reach an oasis, the world becomes vibrant with wildlife and plants.
One of the most beautiful sights in the Sahara is the blazing orange hued sun shining on the endless sand dunes. It is this breathtaking sight that inspired the color of this case.
Sahara Night Blue
The nights of the Sahara Desert contrast sharply with the days. Instead of searing heat and golden hues offered by the blazing sun during the day, the evening brings about darker shades of blue. The horizon becomes dark as sunset comes, drawing out the creatures of the night and offering a cooler time to travel. The once still landscape becomes busy with scorpions, lizards, and other inhabitants of this unforgiving region that cannot stand the heat of the sun.
Stars pinpoint the night sky, providing enough light to see the sapphire shades completely envelop the land. The transformation from day to night is beautiful and mystifying, sparking the imagination. We crafted this case with the desert sky in mind because we love the sense of adventure that emboldens the desert when the sun goes down.
The Saffron flower, otherwise known as crocus sativus, provides a beautiful splash of color in the unforgiving Sahara Desert. These delicate purple flowers are hardy enough to withstand the harsh conditions of this desert region. It takes 70,000 to 250,000 of the hand-picked blossoms to make a single pound of the Saffron spice, making it the most expensive spice in the world. History shows that it has been traded as far back as ancient Rome and Egypt where it was used in food, perfume, as a drug, and in expensive dyes usually worn by royalty. The aromatic scent reminds one of metallic honey with a bit of hay mixed in.
Saffron is an ancient luxury, prized by kings and Queens of old, that is still valued today. The word, “saffron” conjures up images of grandeur, adventure, and royalty. We fashioned this case to embody the spirit of the saffron flower- small in size, but unsurpassable in toughness and elegance.
Desert Rose Pink
Our Sahara Desert Rose case is inspired by the soft pink shades of the delicate flowers that are found in the Sahara Desert. The Sahara Rose grows very slowly and is capable of living for hundreds of years; it is an ancient plant full of history and memory. Generations of desert travelers have looked for this plant as a sign that water may be nearby, making it a source of life as well as a soothing sight for their tired eyes.
Capable of surviving in harsh conditions and with very little water, this tough plant offers the barren wasteland a splash of color and provides lots of inspiration for this case’s adventurous design. Like the desert rose, we combined beauty and toughness to create a phone case that reflects the essence of the mystical desert rose.
Designed to accommodate iPhone 5s flash.
When we thought about the camera on the iPhone, we wanted to see if our case could help the image quality of the iPhone. We started thinking about traditional cameras and why people use hoods around lenses. We knew the idea of a hood around the camera lens was for the purpose of giving image colors more saturation. Thus we designed a unique opening around the camera lens to simulate a lens hood on a traditional camera.
Power & Volume Button Design
When designing the open space around the power button, we wanted to make it easy for people to reach the button. On most cases it is very difficult to reach the power button, because the space is just too small or designed incorrectly. After studying the design, and going over several prototypes and redesigning the space around the power button, we finally got it right.
Our tapered design at just the right angles and locations allows a user’s finger to easily slide down to the power button, because we want every interaction you have with our case to be a pleasing one.

Sahara Case Manufacturing Plan
We have visited several well know manufacturing facilities in China. We have interviewed their executives and inspected their manufacturing process. We narrowed down our choices to two major manufacturers that currently manufacture products for well known USA brands. See below an outline of our manufacturing journey:
Sahara Case Journey
Sahara Case was a concept developed by me and my two brothers. We wanted to create the absolute best case that would be slim and strong.
Below you can see an image of our initial concept. These were the first requirements we communicated to our designer.
1. Initial Sahara Case Requirements
2. First Concept
This is the first concept of the Sahara Case with my hand written notes. The initial case was partially designed to cover the front screen to provide protection.
We modified this design for a more open front screen.
3. Second 3D rendering
We worked hard on the details to improve the design and come up with color combinations inspired by the Sahara Desert. We improved the the textures, button areas, and the front screen.
4. Our First Prototype
After further refinements of the 3D design, we manufactured our first prototype. We loved the general design. We continued to work to improve access to the volume buttons, the power buttons, and the charging port and the camera.
5. Further refinements for iPhone 5s
We continued further refinement of the camera area for the iPhone 5s. We consulted with distinguished expert photographers about our design. After testing the case by taking images with the Sahara Case on the apple iPhone 5 and 5s, the results showed that we produced a perfect case for the iPhone 5/5s.
6. Packaging as Good as the Sahara Case
We wanted to make sure the packaging used for Sahara Case would do justice to our incredible design. Here is what our package will look like.
