The All Around Project
A 3D 360 Degree Cinematic Wildlife Masterpiece
Join Wildlife photographer Chris Fischer on a global odyssey, scouring the farthest reaches of the earth in search of some of the most endangered and remote animals on the planet. With over 25 years of photography and travel experience, he is your expert guide for an experience of epic proportions.
Filmed in the highest quality 360 video, we bring the viewer along for the adventure. From the jungles of Uganda to the frozen Arctic, we showcase the beauty and majesty that exists in all the corners of our world. The All Around Project is the cornerstone of the project and represents one of the most immersive and visually appealing 360 mini series to date.
The All Around Project will help you see the World like Never Before!
We live in a beautiful world, filled with natural wonders that often go forgotten, and it is time to change that. Using cutting edge VR film gear, our team is prepared to help bring the worlds most brilliant wildlife and natural places to everyone, in a way you have never experienced before.
Virtual Reality has taken leaps and bounds in the last two years, but still lacks in quality content programing accessible to everyone, our mission is to change that.
We are going to create a final mini-series unlike anything on the market to date. Filmed, not by a large production team, but a small group of highly qualified, experienced and adventurous filmmakers and photographers who understand not only how, but why.
We want to give you a final product that doesn't simply make you saw "wow", but instead perhaps inspires you to take some of these journeys for yourself, often ones you may never have considered taking.
Our Pledge to make the world a better, more informed and happier place, starts now.
Using VR for the Global Good
With every backer, at any level we receive, The All Around Project will make a free "lite" version or our mini series, plus an educational package, available for one of the following to download : a Children's Hospital, youth center, or k-12 classroom. Every backer helps to give back both to children, and our natural world through education.
These versions will keep children and young adults in mind and will incorporate more baby animals, upbeat themes and basic wildlife and natural education.
Our Journey is Already Underway
We have been operational for 24 months now, and are working toward full production at this point. Funds will be used specifically to get production and filming up to full speed. Chris already has planned film trips to Belize and Tanzania, was in Canada last year, filmed a great deal of Oregon, Utah and Wyoming. Bookings for 2018 will include Brazil, Namibia, Kenya, Alaska, Costa Rica among many others. We intend to get short projects out within months of filming, and get beautiful content into headsets around the world.
In the initial 9 months after launch we expect to have filmed (and have already filmed) :
Cats, Dogs and Bear - Lion, leopard, cheetah, jaguar, ocelot, caracal, serval, Wild Dog, Wolves, Black Bear, Brown & Grizzly Bear among others
Plains Animals - Zebra, Wildebeest, Elephant, Giraffe, Kudu, Rhino, Thompson Gazelle, Deer, Moose, Caribou, Elk, Buffalo, Cape Buffalo, Eland and many more.
Ocean - Sharks (multiple species), Turtles (Multiple), Rays (Multiple), various fish, whales (humpback, killer), Dolphin
Misc - Monkeys, capybara, various bird species, crocodiles, snakes, alligators
Many, many more . . .
The list is far more extensive, but as we are dealing with wildlife, none of this is guaranteed, but anticipated.
So why do we need money, and where is it going?
As we all know, filming is expensive, risky and complicated. We have already reduced a good deal of the risk in our two years of trial work, preparing and planning. But to get the field work, and level of content we need to complete this project, we need a help. Here is an estimate of how it breaks down :
Travel, Filming, Permitting - $90,000
Post Process - $65,000
Insurance - $10,000
Gear and Equipment - $10,000
Misc Office and Overhead - $15,000
Kickstarter Fees (Budgeted) - $16,000
How much do we need?
Our initial ask is for $200,000, which gets us close to 9 months of direct filming operations, allowing us to push deep into Costa Rica, Brazil, Namibia, Canada, Alaska, Belize, Tanzania, and Kenya among many more.
However, funds that come in beyond this goes directly toward expanding our film library, and our team can look at things like Galapagos, Northern Tundra, Antarctica, India, Iceland, Svalbard, Australia, and Rwanda among many of the worlds most pristine dive locations in the world.
Other uses for additional funding will go toward upgrading and expanding film capacities and preparing our company for the increases in processing and presentation power that VR will be seeing over the next few years.
Creating A Voice for the Wild World
We want to share the broad story of wildlife along the way, help the world to understand the whats and whys in a way that has never been done and on a global scale. This is done through broad base storytelling, diving deeper into issues and immersing ourselves in where we are. This is all to provide the most authentic and honest experiences for our viewers.
Fostering Empathy Through Experience
This is the power of VR. By teleporting someone to a place far away, somewhere they may never have dreamed of going, they can expand their mind, open up new avenues of interest, and perhaps spark understanding. In short, empathy through experience.
We want to use VR not just for beautiful visuals, but to help connect every person on the globe with our wild world. We want to put people right in the action, right next to the most majestic animals on the planet. Through this, we believe not only can we share something special, something beautiful, but we can help foster change, empathy and understanding with our natural world.
A Pledge to Give Back to Conservation
At All Around Productions, we know the value of VR Content is not simply in beautiful videos, but the ability to share stories and experiences across the globe, giving viewers a deeper connection with the wild world. We also understand the VR content is not cheap, and it is part of our mission to work with conservation organizations worldwide to not only help them spread their message and reach larger audiences, but to do it within the scope of our project.
Our Proposed Output
Throughout the course of our three year film schedule we will produce and distribute a wide range of final projects, all with varying content, themes and release dates. This is simply a sample of possible projects and as the film schedule expands, we intend to add a great deal of final filmed projects to this list.
The All Around Project - Released at the end of the film schedule, this project will encompass only the best of the best final experiences. We are aiming for 6-10 Episodes (Schedule dependent) with a runtime of 30 minutes each. This mini-series will take the viewer on a spectacular journey around the globe as they search with Chris Fischer for this planets disappearing wilderness and the beautiful animals that inhabit it.
Big Cats - Released in segments throughout the shoot schedule, this project will highlight the worlds top big cats in a number of series highlighting the individuals in their natural habitats. We are aiming for a 4 part series with each at 10 minutes, with a final duel release at the end of our film schedule at 15 minutes highlighting our best wild cat interactions.
Herds and Migrations - Witness the worlds most amazing natural spectacles, great migrations. Whether it is the herds of the Serengeti and Mara, or Salmon in Alaska, these migrations play a unique and unimaginably important role in our ecosystems, and we aim to explore that. Envisioned as a 4 part series at 10-15 minutes per episode.
Primates and Great Apes - Have you ever wanted to witness these amazing animals unclose, in person, in their natural habitat? Well, we can bring them to you. Whether it is capuchin monkeys, or chimps, we want to showcase these amazing animals in a way that has never been done before. Multiple episodes are planned with this concept in mind, but number and duration depends on Film schedule.
Whales - Journey alongside the oceans most impressive species, and feel as thought you are along for the ride with Chris as you embark on a journey to see this planets largest living mammals. Whether it is the humpback or blue whales, Orcas, or Southern Wrights, we want to share these incredible animals with everyone. Number of episodes and duration will depend on final film schedule.
Locations and Landscapes - Along our way we will have the opportunity to share with the world some of the most spectacular vistas ever witnessed. Whether it thought time lapses or unique perspectives, we intend to help the world see the vast beauty of the outside world, and hopefully inspire the next generation of travelers and explorers
And many, many more . . .

The Problem with VR is not Technology, but a lack of enjoyable content for everyone
The Technology of VR has progressed at a feverous pace over the last two years. We have seen advancements in both headsets and film quality, but for widespread market adoption there needs to be content that is both enjoyable and easily accessible to everyone. Not simply games, but cinematic pieces that take viewers on a journey to real places, share real stories. Enlist excitement and wonder in our natural world, and can do it all immediately and with high impact.
This is where we come in . . .
Our unique team is not simply poised ready to begin, we are currently underway with global partners, experience and projects underway.
We are a unique team with field experience, travel savvy, technical competence and a deep understanding of the industry and what is coming next. Our lead VR Filmmaker, Chris Fischer has filmed VR in 7 countries in the last 2 years, spent hundreds of hours around some of the largest mammals on the planet, and is prepared to take these experiences to the next level. Michael Hill has a deep rooted understanding of media and the VR industry, keeping up on ever aspect of market advancements, and technology improvements to make sure our team is operating at the top of our class.
Our Advisory Team hosts prominent business advisors, Hollywood producers, Travel Experts, Conservation Specialists among many others. We are not starting from scratch, we are well on our way.
Current Distribution includes relationships with Infinite VR, LittlStar, Getty Images and Vortex Immersion Media. Once in full production we expect this list to grow quickly, and we have targets including : DiscoveryVR, NatGeo, BBC, Travel Channel, Participant Media and many more.
We don't have lag-time, all money that comes into us via kickstarter goes directly toward our immediate output. It helps us forward book more trips, upgrade field equipment and push our film capacity deeper into remote and epic locations. We aren't starting from scratch, we are simply rolling the ball forward.
Help us share our vision of the natural world with everyone by backing our project today!

Risks and challenges
Quality - one of the potential risks is making sure that we are filming with top quality gear to ensure that we are producing a compelling and visually stunning final output.
Field Risks - Taking expensive gear into the areas that we film does have substantial monetary risks associated with it, and losing field equipment at the wrong time can sideline an expensive location shoot. To mitigate this we intend to have multiple camera rigs and arrays that can sub in when needed to make sure we always have at least two operational cameras in the field.
Timing - Our vision for this project is grand, requires a great deal of planning and preparation and ultimately, field time. Making sure we have proper momentum and stay on track with our film schedule are extremely important.
Distribution - Currently there are no hurdles to distributing rewards, but if content is purchased by an outside company, we will need to work to ensure our backers are given proper credit and rewards. However as it sits now, we do not anticipate this being an issue.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
