Apart from the obvious connection between me and the author, this project stirs me very deeply. It brings me closer to a part of the world I can scarcely imagine yet makes very real even the most primitive and ill-informed of my imaginings. It possesses a fierce, unyielding alchemy of image and word. It will be a lasting testament to the author's determination, courage, and compassion.
